Canes Camp Report: Day 7

It is so nice to see Duke catching the ball out of the backfield, kid is so **** elusive in open field we have got to do a better job of giving him the ball in space

Stacey Coley abused Corn Elder like a redheaded stepchild in that highlight oh my. But to Elders credit he had the recovery speed to eventually make the tackle.

I have watched a few practices including both yesterday and the offense is really using a lot of the middle of the field on passing plays. I expect it to carry over into the season. However, on a down note, the team still struggles on screen plays. Coach Coley was losing his mind yesterday on players not carrying out or executing their responsibilities.

I believe it lol, we couldnt execute a RB screen play for **** last year...but we could hit those WR screens and quick hitches to let Coley do his thing.
 
Ice simply isnt articulate enough to be a division 1 HC. Smart guy, good coach, but needs to get his speaking skills together if he wants to rep a university outside of the community in SF.

why do you need to get all negative on the guy? is this thread about ice getting a head coaching gig?
 
Love the moves by Coley and Waters. Outstanding route running. My God we are deep at WR this year!

It's an overwhelming job trying to stick a receiver one-on-one with a 5 yard cushion. Nearly all odds are against you. That drill should be a win for the wide out everytime. Our DB's tend to overcommit on the first move. Good drill to sharpen change of direction skills. I'm sure they practice jamming in that period too. I'd like to see the drill in press coverage. We'd get a better gauge of the WR's ability to get open off the line and it would allow the DB's some payback. Stacy is so hard to stick if you give him any room. We should put him in motion if teams try and press him off the line.

Sort of like this guy, lol. ICE will be alright over time he just needs more exposure to peers with better diction, which he will get from our head coach who sounds like a grey market luxury used car salesmen.

Ice will do great you cant blame him for the failure before he was under terrible leadership with randy now under the leadership of golden i feel ice will learn so much ... Problem will be keeping him around
