The "plays of the day" or more discouraging to me than promising.
1. Gunter getting smoked, no safety help
2. Morris throws the ball to a blanketed Hurns instead of dumping to a wide open Waters right in front of his face.
3. The center doesn't keep his head on a swivel and help the guard, instead blocks nobody. (we're getting zero pass rush from anybody on that play as well)
4. Walford lets the ball go right through his hands and it's almost picked. (same ol' same ol')
Maybe I'm just nit-picking but I'd rather see our guys actually MAKE plays, not be given plays.
You're clearly nitpicking. 4 plays that someone picked because they are entertaining for the masses.
I didn't say they shouldn't be the "top plays". The way the plays were made is discouraging to me.
You look at the result. I look at what happened in between. That's fine.
You looked at what happened on 4 plays of a practice that had plenty. They're might be 4 plays that you would love but they aren't splash plays so they weren't featured. There was play earlier in the video where Ty Cornileus avoided Bunche and met Duke in the hole and stopped him for no yards. That play may mean more to you than the four they featured.
SMH. I understand that. Like I said, they should be the top plays. They're splash plays. Sure.
However...
That's
our starting CB that got toasted. That's
our starting Center that didn't help on Robinson. (those are our "pass rushing" DE's on that same play that got zero pressure). That's
our starting QB that threw to a covered Hurns instead of a wide open Waters. Andddd that's
our starting TE that let the ball go right through his hands.
I focus on the negatives during a play, that's just the way I am. I assure you that Miami's coaches are doing the same thing.
