This game was big in the standings race, keeps us at least 3 games up in the Coastal, and with Louisville getting swept, keeps us up 2 games in the race for conference tourney #1 seed.

The good news is that VT is the only team that made up any ground on Miami as ND and Louisville were both swept.

The teams needs to use this game as momentum to go on another run.

Yes - big bounceback win! Avoid sweeps and win 3 of last 4 ACC series, and we're still in good shape.

I'd like to win all 4 and get a #2-4 national seed. That's the easiest path to Omaha.

Definitely a huge win for the good guys. After the way our boys got trounced the first couple of games, this was a big win and much needed statement.

Those jabronies badly wanted to pull out the brooms out on us, and our dudes told them suck it in front of a packed and hostile crowd.

No doubt, but getting to potentially host both regionals has to be the goal. You never know who the Committee is going to put opposite you since they don't do a true 1 - 16 seedings match-ups IMO.

I missed most of the broadcast until the end, but looking at the box score it looks like some really clutch two out hitting, from Romero in particular. Nice to see - that breaks the other team's back.
