Agree to disagree. It is a stone cold guarantee that this board would flip out if McFarlane stayed in and gave up runs with Ziehl and Walters fresh.

I’m not disagreeing with you on that. If McFarlane gives up runs in that scenario, the board most certainly would have gone bananas.

But being fresh isn’t always a good thing. A pitcher that gets too much inactivity can be lethargic and wild once he gets in a game again. It happens all the time, even in the big leagues. I rather roll with the guy that is getting outs.
