If postponed, we win ACC. They had better not carry over a day after cancelling other games. What happens if vt duke stays in rain delay

I think we have 6 capable starters. Ziehl competed for a starting job, but went to the bullpen when he didn't become a starter. I'm sure he wants to be a starter, but may be best for the team if he's the closer.Forgot about Ligon. Well that’s 4 capable starters, and a wild card. Really all you can ask for in college. Hopefully all of them keep their form.
It had better, considering they played several fewer conference games.A win would move us a half game ahead if they don’t finish, wouldn’t it? We’re currently tied.
Ya, he needs to get his confidence back. There will be greater adversity in post-season.Let Ziehl work through his issue and finish the game.
Wouldn’t we both be .6667 for winning percentage?A win would move us a half game ahead if they don’t finish, wouldn’t it? We’re currently tied.
Winning % would be a tie and I believe the first tie breaker is head to head.A win would move us a half game ahead if they don’t finish, wouldn’t it? We’re currently tied.
he seems more emotionally even keel right now than does rosario. i would trust him starting over rosario right now.McFarlane has really improved from the beginning of the season. He and Gallo will challenge for starting roles next year.
You're correct, now that I look at it. Not sure what tiebreaker is then - probably head to head and we lose anyway.Wouldn’t we both be .6667 for winning percentage?
Or let Rosario start and if he throws like today, let McFarlane start the 5th (knowing the big inning is coming).he seems more emotionally even keel right now than does rosario. i would trust him starting over rosario right now.
It is. But the ACC still considers both teams “co-division champs”You're correct, now that I look at it. Not sure what tiebreaker is then - probably head to head and we lose anyway.
But the seeding are based on %'s, so who knows. The ACC probably doesn't know.It had better, considering they played several fewer conference games.
It's a lightning delay, but if they can't finish, UM and VT would finish in a tie with VT holding the tiebreaker winning our series. What happens if vt duke stays in rain delay
You’re right. They’ve would’ve played that many fewer games….Wouldn’t we both be .6667 for winning percentage?
• When comparing tied teams and arriving at another pair of tied teams, use each team’s winning percentage against the tied teams as a group. For example, if Teams A and B have the same winning percentage as compared to Team C; then Teams A and B will be compared to Team D, but if Team D is tied with Team E, then Teams A and B will be compared to the winning percentage of Teams D and E collectively, not individually.
• When comparing records against a single team or group of teams, the higher winning percentage shall prevail even if the number of games played against a team or group of teams is unequal. If winning percentage of the tied teams is equal against a team, or a group of tied teams, continue until one team gains an advantage.
• If multiple teams tie and the tie can be reduced to two teams, the provisions for two team ties will be used from that point forward.
• One completed game of a conference series constitutes a common opponent for tie breaking purposes.
2. Seeds One and Two Determination.(a) The division champion will be the team in each division with the highest overall conference winning percentage.
(b) Head-to-head conference competition between the tied teams.
(c) Records of the tied teams within their division.
(d) Head-to-head competition of the tied teams versus the team within the division with the best overall conference winning percentage (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through the division.
(e) Head-to-head competition of the tied teams versus common opponents in the opposite division with the best overall conference winning percentage (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through the opposite division.
(f) Coin flip.
(a) Head-to-head competition in regular-season conference play between the two tied teams.
(b) Head-to-head competition of the tied teams compared to common opponents (divisional and non-divisional) with the highest conference winning percentage and continuing until one team gains an advantage.
(c) Coin flip.
