Canes #11/13 (Coach/AP) - 2.20.23

Not in ESPN’s power 16 as of this am. Look to be 17 reading the “in the waiting room” portion.

In the waiting room
Miami Hurricanes: They're firing on all cylinders right now offensively, scoring at least 78 points in their last six games -- and more than 90 in three of those. It's not just Isaiah Wong. Nijel Pack is averaging 23.0 points in his last three, and Jordan Miller had 24 and 11 against North Carolina.
We’re not a top 16 team according to ESPN? They must have been on the bottle hard this holiday weekend. What more does the team need to do?

Elite 8 last year
15 STRAIGHT at home
Good shot to win acc regular season

If that^ can’t get you a crack in top 16 I don’t know what will 🤣

And all of those teams, with the exception of us, are being projected as a 1 or 2 seed
Hence why I posted it haha. I’m not too worried atm though, everything is on the table right now

And before that it was "Beat Fill-In-The-Blank".

It's always "Beat Someone".

Bunch of bullcrap. I posted FOUR TEAMS that should not be ranked or rated or seeded ahead of us (on the Bracketology thread), regardless of their stat-nerd-cred.

Kansas State being just given the 3 line despite being like a game above .500 in the B12 is bonkers.

K-State AND Iowa State would each be at .500 in-conference if just ONE game had fallen differently.

It's just bull****, just because the Big 12 has some OTHER good teams.

WHAT ABOUT WHEN KANSAS STATE LOST BY 8 TO TEXAS TECH OR 14 TO OKLAHOMA, two of the worst teams in the Big 12?

We lost by 6 to GaTech. Somehow, our ONE bad loss was worse than K-State's TWO bad losses.

It’s an important game for our seeding. It is what it is

Canes 13 in the AP. Big gap in votes between us and 14 (the indomitable Kansas State), but it is interesting to note Gonzaga and Tennessee above us.

They really said “a chance” to get on the 4 line with a deep run in the tourney. Their aren’t 10 better resumes than Miami right now, let alone 20. What a joke.

And spare me the power rankings that have the Mountain West as a better conference than the ACC. Does anybody actually think they’re better? Does the BIG/ACC challenge win not matter? All these metrics are ruining tournament seedings.
