candidates for WR coach?

dont think Mike Irvin has the time for this... this is a year round job and he has a lot that he does...

If Tee wouldn't go home where he has a street named after him, he ain't coming here. I like the sentiment though.

Maybe Marquis Mosley is available? (That's a joke, people)

Problem solved

This is why you don't hire Luke

Heard someone bring up John McNultey in a thread, has NFL experience, played at PSU, WRs coach at college and NFL level, was a OC for Schiano at RU. Currently a member of Arizona Cardinal staff that is probably on the way out.

Tee Martin would be interesting too. I know that he is at USC and turned down Tenn, his alma mater, but Kiffen appears to have fallen out of favor and may be piloting a sinking ship and Tenn is a dumpster fire far from winning. Maybe he would give us a legit look.

McNultey would be a strong hire IMO. Never even thought of that.

Oh really luke? Who are some of these WR's that Trooper coached? The only one I know of is Dez Bryant...and Taylor "coached" him for one year.

What are McNultey's credentials? I seem to remember his name getting brought up when we were looking for an OC.

lol at anyone suggesting Trooper... Honestly, when was the last time you heard about him as a great position coach? I'd be willing to bet that a good many of us didn't even know what position he coached. The guy is a good recruiter, but even that has come under fire due to questionable tactics. Besides, can you honestly see a guy like Trooper working for Golden and Fisch?

I believe Golden will get a good hire. He has a good track record and good connections. How many of you honestly knew about MacDonald before he came on board? That name came out of left field, possibly due to the Fisch connection. I'd look more towards the NFL ranks or a local known like the FIU WR coach as being more likely than Trooper.

We need a recruiter at this position.

This site just spent the last 3 weeks killing FSU for having a staff full of recruiters and not coaches. Now a spot opens on UM staff and people are pushing the recruiting angle above the coaching. We need a coach that can do both.

Jimmy Robinson! I"m telling you guys he will fit perfectly.. is he older yes, but the man knows how to coach some wide outs! AL i hope you hear me on this lol!
