Strangely enough I never got to watch the Clemson or Nole game the year Emory started in those games, therefore, I was optimistic that between winning against Clemson and almost beating a good Nole team, AND the reports coming out of the Miami coaches offices, he really could be the guy.
Seems like a great kid, but I'm sorry, he's clearly not cut out ot be a starter at this level. If he still wants to play, he would benefit from dropping down to whatever the lowest level of football they have in college. It's a shame.
After seeing this, I am all in on Luke coming in as a true frosh and taking his lumps and growing.
I was definitely disappointed with Cam not playing in the 4th quarter. I think I would've preferred him to just sit it out and let us see what the youngsters could do. To watch Emory take the field with over 50 seconds and a timeout...ugggh...
Anyway, if Mario doesn't bring in a vet QB who can at least compete with Luke, that all too familiar death spiral will have begun.
Oh well... have a great New Years' Eve fellas. Hope springs eternal, so here's a to surprisingly good 2025 Cane season.
