Cam’Ron Jackson, 6’6, 340 DT, Memphis transfer

I try to watch Memphis as much as possible because of their OC and his previous ties to Mario at FIU.
But noticed this guy as well even though I don't focus on their defense. I didn't realize he was that big. That's a good sign.

I live in West Tennessee and watch a lot of Memphis football. If Tim Cramsey happens, I’d be fine with it. I’ll comment more if Gattis does ever leave.

More of a Jordan Miller replacement than Darrel Jackson IMHO at his size. But he had 41 tackles at 350 lbs, so he is active enough. We need a big DT to eat up double teams, and clog the middle up. There is a level of play somewhere between potential All-ACC player and JAG. This kid seems to fill that bill.

I know our archaic play design didn't help WR's couldn't get separation but at some point, talent separates. (It's a combo for sure) I just know we need major talent infusion (and a new OC).

Take him, but I still think he is a drop off from Jackson. Good thing is our 2nd level play should be much better than the drop off so overall I feel the run defense will improve. I still would take another one on top of this kid.

I think he provides the same if not better in run stopping don't know if he's the athlete to provide as good of a pass rush though.
