Yes sir! Samoan recruiting or relations or whatever and let Ed O coach the DL. @dycane you had said there was smoke in the agent world for Ed O. You still hearing that?
He’s banned I think for a good while given the number of points.

Pretty bad...
But he's proven he can recruit in the past.

I don't think portal kids are as much about recruiting relationships as they are about opportunity and $$$... Lots of backchanneling and tampering going on.
People forget he was one of the first coaches hired last year and came over with Mario from Oregon. Mario has worked with him for 4 years at Oregon and thinks very highly of him. He has the title: Defensive Line Coach / Associate Head Coach - Defense / Defensive Run Game Coordinator...

Let's not forget what our DL situation was like before he got here last year. Did people seriously forget what Mario and Joe did to revamp the DL last year?

Wild thing is if LT keep developing he could legit go round 1 next year in the draft at that position, so it really is puzzling that we're having a tough time to get guys to come join, plus the position coach had coached another 1st rounder in the past too just a year ago

Aye bruh… too many facts for this board. This bunch will have u thinking that ALL of the DL hits belong ONLY to Mario, or one of the off the field, analysts … hike all the DL misses go only to Big Joe. The man has done something right besides just being our connection to Samoan players.

Stop with the exaggeration Beast. You may not like it. But it’s definitely not G5 level.

It’s not something to say is good or ok to go into the season with. I’m real. I want ACC championships.

We aren’t winning **** with that line.
A G5 transfer
LT who plays hard 40% of plays and then disappears
Jacob L is a JAG
JHH hasn’t made a meaningful play in 3 years
Moten second year didn’t see anything this year so who knows
Then we got freshman.

Anyone in this board who thinks this is how you compete to be better than a 7 win team is delusional. This is bottom of the ACC talent.

We need 2 DT transfers in my opinion like it or not.

What has it been for 20 years? No matter the coach DT has always been a struggle to recruit here
This is the domino that needs to finally start falling.
Elite dt is the foundation of excellence.
J brown, Tez, Sapp, Webster, wilfork.

Look at Bama when it began winning.
Look at Clemson, look at uga the last few years.

Clemson was carried this year by a lot of early day talent on that d line.

Just like safety too TBH with Kam back there. Kids should be lining up to play next to an AA at safety.

What’s the DT recruiting been like since he got here?
I posted last year about a O writer who evaluated recruiters in the PAC12, and how he found that saliva was the worst recruiter in the league in terms of the quality of his croots vs the other coaches on his staff. I got hammered for having the audacity to porst such sacrilege, of course.

Yea you would think line up and learn from a 1st team AA and with the corner class we're bringing in you would think at least one big time safety would be lined up trying to get into this class

I just talked to a friend, that talked to his cousins friends sister that works for UF. Apparently they’re paying Jackson $8MM and guaranteed him the starting job with 70% of the snaps. Jackson asked Mario if they would guarantee the job, but we don’t do that. Mario didn’t lose Jackson, we just wouldn’t make the same guarantees. So actually Mario won this one.

Molten flashed quite a bit in the Pitt game. And Pitt is solid in the trenches so that caught my eye. But yes, ideally we can grab two portal DT’s so Horton isn’t rushed into action prematurely.
