Cam’Ron Jackson, 6’6, 340 DT, Memphis transfer

That. Some 🥃 and a stuffed animal help me sleep at night after looking at our depth chart and the portal
I mean maybe they REALLY believe in moten to step into a role next year lol

I mean it’s weird how we haven’t really attacked the portal hard… excepting a second wave I guess or their working the back channel now for that wave

I don’t get it… it would be 2 years in a row where needs are evident and the portal approach is moderate at best

I've said before, I don't think we need DTs that need to play lot. You should already have those guys in Leonard Taylor and Jared Harrison-Hunte (who was probably playing the best football of his career before he was hurt). Next season, Taylor, JHH, and it seems Moten are the players on the roster you expect to be higher snap players next year. Now you bring in guys that can play the role and maximize their snaps. Thomas Gore absolutely does that. That seems to be his thing. Now we've need to add more maximize their snap interior defensive linemen.

You lose Darrell Jackson...he was a solid player...but you've already replaced and added to your interior pass rush element with Thomas Gore...you bring in a guy like Cam'ron Jackson to be your tackle when a team is on schedule and you need big guy in the middle. He shouldn't be needing to play 50 plays a game. If its not him, I don't think what we are looking is hard to find.

All we have rn is LT, JHH, Gore. Moten is most likely not ready for significant snaps. You need 4/5 Interior guys and we have 3. We need at minimum one dawg on the interior, and we need a true NT because every team should have one to allow for flexibility. And we should probably go after another depth piece aswell.

We got lucky this year and didn't really have any injures, but let's say if it happened this upcoming year and we lose 1 or 2 of what you mentioned. Our biggest DEs that can play DT are mesidor and Chantz William's. No team would need to throw the ball. We couldn't even stop the counter against FSU this year as it is.

Not really surprised. Joe's list of commits is almost exclusively pacific islanders. Going to end up back in the "Can he play DT" era if something doesnt change soon. 2 DT's in two years and losing multiple guys to portal? yikes.
