bye bye byrd.

I'm so glad I don't follow this garbage all year long. Otherwise I might have remembered some irrelevant comment or image from Byrd last July or October. Instead, it was very simple to wander into this forum yesterday, sample a few variables, and understand that Tennessee was the favorite. I certainly would have bet it that way.

This isn't one of those deals where everything drifts back to the beginning. Not even close. And that's partially why I choose not to pay attention. I have a family member who is the same way. She'll change her mind every 5 minutes based on whatever strikes her as nice. Drives me nuts. I prefer foundational focus.

As I posted yesterday, I certainly would have felt better if some program other than Tennessee were the obstacle. That team badly outplayed Oklahoma and Florida on the field last season, and played to a physical stalemate with Alabama. It might not pan out this season or the following year but there are legitimate lofty prospects for that team based on sheer returning talent level and what they have shown, not merely some flimsy hopes of a top 5 defensive line due to a new coach from Missouri.

Besides, I expect to lose the major last second decisions much more often than not as long as we are playing in this stadium. If other programs and their recruiting directors don't use clips of that bland joint in any competition against us, they simply aren't doing their job.

Are you a Vols fan? Or live in Tennesse?

His post was actually pretty spot on in a lot of areas. That is why I don't get excited when people start talking about '17 recruits committing. Why even worry about that stuff? Most of these kids don't care about commitment

I don't follow this recruiting **** like I use to, but can someone please put me up on game. Wtf happened with Byrd? What did he do?

When Byrd told a reporter that he really liked the old staff's "vibe," I knew we were in trouble.

This reminds me of an Alex Collins situation. Byrd just felt more comfortable in Tennessee. Can't fault the staff for what they did. It hurts because he is a great, great player at a need spot, but life goes on. We knew there would be attrition. If you told me in November we'd keep Allison, the LBs, Bruce, Richards, Jackson and Homer, I'd have signed up immediately.

Don't be surprised if we add someone at corner. I hope it's James Pierre but that's just speculation.

Isn't he a safety?

Byrd ****'s teef are even fcked up for a Tennessee redneck. Those hillbillies floss with rope, and they're cringing at his fcked up mouf.

He played corner when I saw him and I think that's his best position.

Tennessee also told Byrd he will get some touches on offense and I think that also swayed him.

Well buddy... unlike an ibis that is not afraid to fly into a hurricane, this Byrd flew the coup away from the Hurricanes with a last weekend visit and big flip off to the hillbillies of Tennessee on the night before NSD. All after a year of commitment to us and no indications of bailing to our staff leaving us in a bad position with no time to recover at a position of dire need. Actually, he was throwing up the U almost til the end.

He did it so that he could play with his close friend who was committed to Tennessee for a while. We get that people make choices but the manner in which he did this has left an angry taste in our mouths. On top of it, we've had a whole lot of Tennessee Volunqueer trolls on this board from start to finish because this is all that sorry program has. That's about all.

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT YOU'VE BEEN COMMITED TO MIAMI FOR OVER A YEAR AND THE VERY NIGHT BEFORE NATIONAL SIGNING DAY, YOU FLIP YOUR COMMITMENT TO TENNESSEE OF ALL PLACES???? ALABAMA? SURE. USC? MAKES SENSE. OLE MISS? ATA BOY, GO GET YOUR MONEY. FSU? GO **** YOURSELF, BUT I GET IT. BUT BLEEPING TENNESSEE????????????

He should have at least decommited from us beforehand, but little boys will do little boy things I guess. The fact that hes going to Tennessee simply because his bestfriend and his girlfriend are going their is a sign that he is not commited to football. Maybe this isn't such a bad thing. We ned guys with a U mentality. He's not it. Good luck to him. Moving on, no more talking about guys that are irrelevant.

Gotta feed the family.... Hope you like happy meals for the next few years. After that, your family won't be eating so well. Do these young men EVER think long term?
