Calvin Ridley and Shawn Burgess Becker vs. Ermon lane and Travis Rudolph.....

discuss......

ridley has a freak burst with good size. a lot of people down here was sleep on him till them 5* was by his name

SBB is just an all around athlete. probably one of those dudes always picked first in pick up games

TR probably has the best hands in sofla. I call him Goodman he isn't elite in any category but can do everything very well

Lane is probably the opposite of coley. he wants the ball deep down the field isn't really a "screen" type of guy. and will be huge in the redzone

Unless this kid is a Duke Johnson, Jaquan type (according to some) where he's going to shut it down and go all in recruiting for us, will handle this with caution. You all need to remember how many of these "early commitments" tend to work out. Yes its good news, but timing wise, there is way too much to worry about here, and in recruiting, this is a lifetime for sh*t to change.

Shut up. Just because our staff couldn't hold onto to Rudolph, Collins, Bryant, Kearse, etc. doesn't mean an early commitment is a death knell.

Hopefully they've learned a thing or two from those past scenarios and will approach early commitments in a manner that allows them to stick.

Nobody said its a death knell genius. Just that people need to take this all in stride. Unless he's going to be all in, and shutting it down, I take all these early commits with a grain of salt. Obviously its good news, but people do this sh*t to themselves every year with these "early commits". To me "early commit" has become almost synonymous with "silent commit". DOesnt mean much unless you shut down recruiting. Its good news, but there is a LONG way til next NLOID.

Three days before NSD means a lot. Could influence this year's class at last moment.

Hope these guys are like Chad Thomas/Darling, and not the Jayron Kearse types.

Hate to be a debbie downer but I wish this kid went out and saw the rest of the schools recruiting him....

Coley got a year under his belt and is paying early dividends on 2015. I love it. Hopefully he puts that fence up and continues to develop as a play caller, too. DALE ALL IN STAY TUNED

Junior Day:

Bama and UM are in his top 2. “Alabama and Miami,” Burgess-Becker said. “Those are my top two. I stay in contact with (Alabama offensive line) coach Mario Cristobal every day and its the same thing with coach Al Golden even more. I stay in contact with those two the most.”
