@Briscoe87 This ain't where my heart at..

I hate tryna read too much into what a 18 year old says on twitter but I can't help but think it has to do with the postion change.

This tweet does not exist!

For the **** of it:

DE Chick/Luther/Kamalu
NT Porter/Moore/Ivery/King
DE Pierre/Hamilton/Grimble

OLB McCord/Figueroa/Terry
ILB Denzel/Gaines
ILB Kirby/Blue
OLB Bond/AQM/Hoilett

When I think of a succesful 3-4, I think of Bama. What I'm looking at in your post doesn't look anything like Bama's personnel to me. I feel like we would get mauled if we ran a base 3-4.

Yet as the post goes on, folks criticize! LOL

In that case How about this:
DE Chick/Hamilton/AQM
DT Porter/Moore/Ivery
DT Pierre/Luther/KingGrimble
DE Kamalu/Hoilett/McCord

Passing Downs (Nickel):
DE AQM/Cain
DT Chick/Dye
DT Pierre/Grimble
DE McCord/Holliett

OLB Denzel
OLB Bond
NB Burns

Have Fun!!! :quag:

Is it just me, or is this depth chart better than the one for the 43?

That would be a nice defense right there.

That's the lineup I've been thinking about since practice started.
Our best 3 up front with the ability to blitz and attack on the outside with McCord and 007 and DP and Kirby in the middle.

Do you guys think Chickillo can hold up on the inside? In that defense he won't be an edge player like he is now. He'll be head-up over a big a$$ offensive tackle and depending on the play-call can be responsible for B-gap or C-gap. It takes a long, strong MAN to play that position.

**** naw, that's what I've been tryna say, he can barely hold up at DE, and now some are talking DT??

When we were recruiting Briscoe, I expressed major concerns over him being a non-factor all season and then turning it on in the playoffs. That's a major indictment of his motor and his drive.

I put a major premium on work ethic on the inside. You will absolutely fail trying to play DL, especially inside, at this level of college football with that sort of ticker in your chest. I don't care how talented you are. He's a kid with size and physical ability, but he'll never make it here if he continues along his current path.

You beat me to the punch, Fran. Lets face it..We fell in love with buddy because of his highlights from about 2 games in his senior year and never questioned wtf he was doing the other 10. I fell victim. Not ready to give up just yet on the kid because he is young but dang. Wish he could have showed enough in his R-Fr year to warrant some hope in the future. Putting him at guard just means he will get lost on the depth chart. Especially with some of the talent that is already there and what is coming in..

And btw, I am not in the crowd that says well maybe its because everyone else is ballin out of control! I doubt Moore, Ivery, and Grimble have made that massive of an improvement that fast.

He's a redshirt-freshman...sure he hasn't exactly shown a lot yet, but cot**** you guys are quick to give up on a player.

We all knew he was a project coming in, and if you didn't know that, then you were just blinding yourself to that fact. Give him some time to develop, ****.

Bro, the coaching staff has given up on him too at DT. LOL. **** they wanted to give up on him last year but thought he could pull a Luther Robinson and man up. Didnt work. Maybe he can be a Jeremy Lewis for us. I am cool with that. But we NEEDED him at DT. Not Guard.

Who gave up on him? I questioned his recruitment because he only played exceptionally in the playoffs. At his size and with his natural gifts compared to the HS kids he was going against, his lack of production was inexcusable. Seems like he has carried that over to UM because we aren't stacked at DT.

This is different than a guy coming in and struggling to acclimate for a couple years. This dude came in with major question marks and was already moved from a position of need. Bad signs.

I hear he is trying to upgrade his numbers on X-Box. It's like a new generation oz-moses.

I'm not talking about you. Some of the other posters in here are acting like him switching positions is the end of him. I mean, sure, it might be, but this could be just the thing that kicks his *** into gear. We all knew that he had motivational issues, and that he was lazy, but those things can be fixed. Like I said, he's still young and he's got time to get better. The only reason some of these people are trashing him is because somebody said that he spends too much time playing video games, ****, Jake O'Donnell got moved to TE and nobody had **** to say about that.

The problem is that we are woeful in terms of depth at DT. If he is getting moved from DT, given our current depth chart and failure to recruit additional studs, then he's **** close to being written off.
