Briscoe officially to guard?

I played Briscoe last night on XBOX live for 3 hours. The kid got work ethic its just not for football.

I really thought Briscoe was going to bring something...His highlight tape showed alot of versitility at DE for a big guy... but then again, maybe that's the problem, in his own mind, he probably see's himself as a Speed End rather than a DT. Sort of like Chris Bosh thinking he doesn't have to bang down low, as it seems he prefers to defend point guards up top.

Anyway's to fill the void (based on the DE list above), Kamala & Grimble immediately comes to mind... If other guys step up on the edge (DE), **** Chick & Green may be added to DT on 3rd downs, then fill in there FT eventually...

Disappointing news. We have enough to get by this year but the future of the DT position is looking very bleak. Whiffing completely this year sucks. We really really really need to hit on these 2014 guys. 2014 DT is as critical as corner was in 2012

Heard Briscoe was soft..

Was prob a numbers move for spring practice. Last on the depth chart are always first to be moved. *see david perry/dye..

Wouldn't be surprised to see him back at DT once linder is healthy

I'm not sure I see the point. This team has been desperate for a pair of stout DT's and this season we have them. With no shortage of DE's and pass-rushing specialists emerging, why change the base D now?

is there a university for call of duty? Briscoe and Jermaine Johnson would be all stars there

instead of *****ing about it on twitter, dedicate yourself to being a can't miss DT and leave the coaches no choice but to put you back. there is no doubt that Golden and Donofrio would be thrilled if briscoe turned into the DT they thought he could be.

I had my doubts when I saw him getting his a$$ kicked in drills last season. Not only was he being mauled but he showed no heart.

That was definitely the concern when we recruited him.

Some folks have been trumpeting our 'depth' at DT in other threads, mentioning Briscoe in part. Been sayin for a while that we were very thin on real talent there.

That's the lineup I've been thinking about since practice started.
Our best 3 up front with the ability to blitz and attack on the outside with McCord and 007 and DP and Kirby in the middle.

Maybe he should get off the internet and the video games and get in the weight room or the film room or even the classroom/library.

Do you guys think Chickillo can hold up on the inside? In that defense he won't be an edge player like he is now. He'll be head-up over a big a$$ offensive tackle and depending on the play-call can be responsible for B-gap or C-gap. It takes a long, strong MAN to play that position.

When I think of a succesful 3-4, I think of Bama. What I'm looking at in your post doesn't look anything like Bama's personnel to me. I feel like we would get mauled if we ran a base 3-4.
