I'd take Nesta over vincent too. I'm just simply stating what the other poster mentioned is incorrect. Especially when all recruiting services have him at the top, not a scrub.

[TWEET]946121476918398976[/TWEET] these are crazy numbers for a dt. Idk if Briggs is better than Vincent but he sure is more productive. We know nesta is the best in the country

Amazing football production from our 2 DT potential signees. I wonder if anyone's ever signed 2 DTs in the same class with over 100 tackles.

Silvera is ready to step in right away. Briggs will need a little time in the weight and nutrition rooms.

big time optimistic thinking, but he could be a john randle-type tackle at that weight. kid has one **** of a motor on him and is killing interior linemen already at 250. obviously he's going to get bigger to fill out that 6'4" frame, but he's got some serious talent right now and we don't have depth.

No idea how he'll turn out, but I love DL and OL with big motors and a lot of pride. It's such a tough position to play that you can't be lazy or soft in there, or you'll get turned out.

Briggs is DT all the way. He's 6'4, 255 already and his lower-body is heavy. Similar to McIntosh. Daniel Carson is another guy in that mold.

If Kul can close with Briggs and one of Carson or that big refrigerator from Texas and we sign Nesta...I won’t have a bad thing to say about him.

We need at least 3 DT's. Silvera will play then most likely red shirt the other 2 or give them limited snaps similar to Ford this year.

Didn't read whole thread, but I just looked at Briggs for the first time. 6'4, 250 and plays DE in high school. Why does he project as a tackle? Frame to add weight? Not quick enough to play end?

I didn't watch his film and don't have the time today to read the thread so if anyone can give a quick scouting report it'd be much appreciated.

He isn't fast enough to play DE @ the collegiate level, but his motor is responsible for his production. Kind of reminds me of Shayon Green... He's plays stout, and appears dedicated, but still a project in my eyes that needs alot of weight, and technique.

His competition in HS sucks @ss too, so he didn't even need technique (which explains alot)!!

Maybe Kool can being it out of him though!

still a dt who runs like the for weakside help shrinks the field.

What the **** classification is that? Can't be more than 2A.

There was an article recently that said we're in good shape with Carson. Dunno about its veracity but Carson sure looked happy to be here on his OV.

So to summarize it's all good or it's not. I feel much better now....or I don't.

If we pull Briggs, Carson, another DE, and another OL like Goss, Montilus, etc, then its fair to say this is a A+ class in the trenches.

Wishful thinking, but not entirely unrealistic.

I was surprised to read in the latest article on Briggs in the Herald that Banda was his primary recruiter.
