So, the bye week is enough to offset the fact we have way more talent than him? No, I give him credit but maybe, just maybe, the fact we went for 2 in the 3rd quarter, decided not to kick 2 FGs in the game, turned the ball over on downs I believe 3 times inside their 40-yard line had more to do with the loss. Face it, Mario is just NOT very smart as a HC...the failure to take a knee last year (and once at Oregon) and all the poor decisions yesterday clearly illustrate this.

He’s their version of Mario Cristobal. He Played oline their best years coached under George o Leary. Was able to play for coach key he is a good dude. Very big on culture and oline just like our coach.

Not bad decisions. Decisions that didn't work out. No Miami fan was begging for field goals in those situations.

Way more talent where, not the offensive line, not the back seven, not the defensive line our only clear advantage was at QB and WR and both had an off day. You act like we rolled in with a Bama roster full of five stars and got crushed. This wouldn't even be a topic had they not caught a break with the strip to end it.
You honestly don't think Miami was taking that ball down the field on the last drive. He rolled the dice by not going for it to ice the game and got lucky.
I give GT all the credit in the world for the win, but let's not get carried away.

2024 recruiting class Miami #4 and GT #33
2023 recruiting class Miami #7 and GT #60
2022 recruiting class Miami #16 and GT #54

Compared to GT, yes we have an Alabama type roster...just look at the last 3 recruiting classes. Mario is a beast recruiter but a below average HC. And we very well may have scored a TD on the last drive, but Cam went for the big play instead of dumping the ball off the Arroyo and look what happened, he fumbled.

You’re forgetting that we are GT’s Super Bowl and they’re nothing to our guys. That extra juice they played with has gotta be worth 20 spots in class rankings.

Keep making excuses. That falls on the coaches not having the team ready to play then and our players for being so stupid to take them lightly after last year's debacle. Saban never seemed to lose games to inferior opponents save the first season at Bama. We barely beat VT and Cal as well, but you're probably going to use the same excuse that we're their SB as well.

Well, I’m just trying to figure out what the in between is. Since most of the posters on here go from 0 to 60 in two seconds. After one loss, everybody seems to think that we were battling for the basement of the ACC.

Some things are fine. Some things suck. It’s why only 1 team wins a natty every year. It’s why elite UGA and LSU got the **** beat out of them yesterday and Bama has looked very average all year even they did the beating last night. It’s why OSU with a 20 million dollar + team has looked very average in a bunch of games.

What really sucks is if our defense would be even average we could have a legit shot at making a run based on the absolute **** show the top ten is week in week out.

Where did I defend Mario in my statements about Key? I was giving credit to Key for doing whatever he had to do to win a game. And we did everything we could do to lose a game. Thus we got by a less talented team. Go find a pro Mario post to bash bro and face balm yourself for terrible reading comprehension.

Yep been going on since Grassy. I’ll never forget the early days of this website and how many losers made excuses for Al Golden and Dorito til the very end.

One pretty prominent guy who still posts here trying to convince us that he went to a coaching clinic and that Dorito’s defense was actually legit. It’s too bad they nerfed the search function here because I would have a field day

Dorito sucked but let's be honest that bend but don't break or having Golden as DC this year with Cam would give us a legit shot at the NC. Just dont break and give up FGs and let Cam work. We are this years TCU on their NC game run. Whoever we would play would Boatrace this team.
