First post in a long time (I’m usually a lurker).
I just wanted to highlight how refreshing this combine performance has been.
It seems like the players are more prepared than ever—acing interviews, showcasing their strengths (not participating in tests they are weak at), and carrying themselves like true professionals. They have clearly been coached on this and have a set strategy to elevate their rank in the draft.
I credit Cristobal for this. He’s turning boys into men and laying a strong foundation at Miami. The progress may be gradual, but this feels better than any coach since Butch, besides maybe Richt.

I'm not saying that they changed as players. I am just pointing out that all the players in the draft this year seem more prepared than those in past regimes. I believe they were coached well on how to handle the next stage.

I think the program has elevated in the professional sense. To many times with past staffs I felt like it was a clown show. Yes Mario isn't perfect but I think we are going in the right direction. An this combine showing is proving it.

Take the OPs post how you want..but this is the best combine performance we have had as a program in a long time.. We usually have embarrassed ourselves as a whole with one or two guys shining. Kudos to whoever you want to give kudos to.

It's basically about constantly ****ting on Mario. If a player performs well it's a Manny guy or they were gonna ball regardless but if God forbid they underperformed in the slightest it's solely Mario’s fault and the player is absolved on any personal accountability.

Sam Brown came in last season heralded as a 4.4 guy with a 40 inch vertical. Crediting Mario for this is disingenuous. If we want to credit Mario for upgrading the roster that is justified.

I am happy for the young men who performed well. Very few futures got dimmer this weekend, a whole lot got brighter.

Miami has long been a place where you can be mediocre in college and blossom when you enter the league. Looks like that trend will continue.
