Breaking down the Canes schedule

Last two games of the year will be tough. On the road in the cold.

I have questioned our **** performance in cold weather for decades across forums. I often cite how awesome players from The U do in "cold weather" once they arrive in the league. The answer was always that they are getting paid, and that they are professionals.

Guess what?

We can chuck that bull**** excuse to the side. These men are paid professionals. If they can't play in cold weather, they have no chance of a career in the league.

BBQ or mildew.

Those excuses died with NIL...

If you've ever lived in Miami and then moved to a cold weather place you get it. It doesn't take long to get adjusted but having an entire team of kids being forced to adjust for the first time all at once is hard.

My nephew is a freshman walkon at ND (more of a manager than player), so I know the team really well.
I have a real question for people commenting about the opener, do people actually know anything about ND’s roster next season?

I’ve read all the comments on here & I don’t think posters have a good idea of their opponents.

The irony of our fans that post about cold temperatures and also call our players soft is enough to make you whoozy

Though I will say the one year we were in Pitt when Fitz was still there I was at that game. It was pretty fuggin cold even for northerners
It was pretty cold at Pitt another year, I think it was 2013. Stacey Coley's freshman year, whichever year that was. The cold didn't seem to be an issue. I've lived in Pennsylvania almost my whole life and that night was cold. But then a few years later when Larry Scott was interim coach it was short sleeve weather in Pittsburgh Thanksgiving weekend.

In recent years, it seems like many of our games that could have been cold weather turned out not to be too bad. BC and the Pinstripe Bowl last year could have been a lot worse and I think 2013 was probably the last time it was really cold for a game in Pittsburgh. With college regular season games ending in November, I think the cold weather stuff is overblown. There will be some cold games here and there, but most of them aren't that bad.

Yeah if you’re from PA or familiar then you know it gets windy as heck in that stadium

And temps are one thing…but wind will humble even the most experienced northerners

20 degree temps aren’t bad at all.M, but that wind chill gets going near the lakes and mannnnn
