Brashard Smith is fast

Knighton injured his knee early in the season and is out for the year. Only played in parts of 2 games. Not sure if he was dealing with the injury to start the year or what... Either way, real nice season for brashard. Wish he had stuck around. He was one of the transfers I was bummed about. Thought miami never really used him properly
Got it, did not know Kinghton got hurt. I do think Brashard could have helped this team but I would see him basically getting the snaps Chris Johnson is. Maybe he breaks one of those but as a RB he was not taking carries away from Fletch or Martinez, and as a WR he would not take snaps from our top 4. He was a good player that could have had a role but no way would it ever be as big here (barring injury) as it is at SMU. Honestly think it worked out fine for both parties.

100% agree.

A hitch is it's going to be a really, really deep draft at RB (assuming most JR's come out).

I'd lean towards him getting drafted, but don't think it's a given. But I'd be very surprised if he doesn't at least end up on a practice squad.

I really don’t have a clue on the class strength if that’s the case. But he could also test quite well and sneak in. Definitely a practice squad guy.

I saw Brashard Smith play at Palmetto High, and he definitely looked more like a RB than WR. When the QB at Palmetto got hurt, Brashard stepped in and played QB out of the shotgun, and Brashard would take the snap as a running QB, and rush to the left or right on about 95% of the snaps. He and LTIII #56, had a nice run at Palmetto that season before they lost in the FHSAA playoffs. But Brashard definitely put a lot of RB highlights on film. Wish him luck in every game except against the Canes, and hope he makes the NFL

Lots of good JR RB's - just depends on how many declare. I think Smith gets drafted regardless.

The combine will be huge for Smith - size & athleticism will determine a lot for him.

I think his top end outcome is a Nyheim Hines/JD McKissic type.

Travis Homer/DeeJay Dallas type is the more likely outcome. A little playing time, but mostly contributes on special teams.
