Bold Prediction: Coley to start by UNC

Goldens also praised Carter in today's Herald. We are stacked at WR and TE.

Only thing that can derail Carter is his goon status IMO

Coley will get his chance in Fall practice to beat guys out. If he does, then look out.

Either way, we are going to have a nice rotation of WR's coming in and out of games. It should be exciting because opponents DB's will be seeing fresh guys coming at them all day.

Coley's had time to work with Morris since arriving last month so it really should be an open competition. Dorsett, Hurns and Scott have the experience but haven't been super consistent.

I can see him getting some serious pt by UNC... I only see 3 wideouts that have an edge over him... We have some talent but with exception of Hurns, Dorsett and Scott everyone else has a lot to prove... It will be an interesting battle...

I love the optimism of the OP, but think its just that.....optimism.

Upperclassmen will start all year, IMO.

I agree with the sentiment that Coley will NOT be an official starter this season, but will crack the two deep by game 2 or 3 and will get the lion's share of reps by season's end.

Again, I just dont see the coaching staff making him a fulltime starter in 2013.

Watching Coley as a 11 grader using Tracy and Deon as seniors sold me. I don't think he can be covered. However, reading all this about the guys in front of him just puts a big smile on my face. Dang we got some WRs. I got one questions, how many tall, fast dbs do the swamp scum have? I guess they might be droping back 20 before the snap and then turning to run like ND last year. I'm guessing TEs and Duke catch a lot of balls that game. I don't watch swamp scum, they gots any lbs that can run Duke down after he catches a pass 10 yards dwon field?

Well they have a very aggressive and fast defense. Also, they have two pretty good corners in Purifoy and Roberson with the former having the potential to be a 1st rounder. They also have Vernon Hargreaves III. Their safeties are really questionable but their defense last year were animals so they can ball. Miami needs to take this team to the next level and be able to score on good defenses.

Uf has Purifoy, Watkins, Roberson, Riggs, Brown, Gorman. The last time we played against a really good secondary (FSU) our receivers couldn't get open.

I dont think Golden will start him over upperclassmen, out of principal. Mike James was our starter last year over Duke. But if you don't think Coley is going to be getting serious burn, I got a beach pad in the rocky mountains we can discuss the matter at.

James was the starter primarily because Duke is a 15 carry per game guy and he was more of a workhorse.

I believe it. Look at Amari Cooper!!! Golden will play the best player!!! THis guys is the most talented skillplayer we've had coming out of HS since Andre Johnson, and that's saying something considering who we've had come through here!! LETS GO CANES!!

Stacy Coley isn't going up against the same competition that Amari Cooper. Miami WR core is better than Alabama WR core.

LOOKS like I was a little late on prediction.

coley with the first team!! I told you guys!!!!!!!

Coley has a great future and he will be a start at Miami, but it will take time for him to develop in to that specially when we have Drosett (who is just a beast right now) Hurns who is a very smart WR and Scott/Waters.

Now if we were in a DE/DT situation it would be a different story. Quan will shine as a Freshman because we need a strong pass rusher and he will.

Dorsett is going to be insane this year count on that!

I'm not so concerned about who starts. I think that we will play a lot of guys at all positions. I know some of us don't like that style, but I think that's what will happen.
