I think Burns would push Gunter before Howard. Gunter's biggest problem is his tackling. All year, he was victimized by short passes taken for longer gains because he missed a tackle and Burns seems like more than a sure tackler. In limited action, Howard looked pretty good attacking short passes and making sure tackles.

I like Gunter though and I'm hoping he improves that area of his game. If he does, he has the potential to be an all-ACC 2nd teamish corner.

I think Gunter will be All ACC this year. I really like his game. Dude has that brash attitude I like in CBs, and he's tough too. He plays with a short memory, he's got a nose for the ball, and he'll mix it up.

He is really physical and I like that. He isn't a finesse CB.

This was a thread about Tracy Howard, but oh well... Going with the flow. Nothing new, but this video only adds to the fact that Burns was a steal.

He can work on that backpedal a bit more, but when you have his kinda speed, it almost doesn't matter, cause you can always walk a dude dude down if he gets a good release.

You right AtrainCane. I meant to say 2015-16'. Got my years mixed up. (And yes, I do expect Bush/Jenkins to blow up this year and next year and ponder the NFL Draft. One or both. I think they can be that good. Jenkins looks like a full grown man in one of those pics thats circulating. And Bush reminds me of Kenny Phillips pre-injury. Kenny lost a step after getting injured his first two years in the league.)

Bush likes to bring the plastic more than Kenny did. I think he's faster too. Kenny was a good smooth athlete, who played more of a finesse game back there. I don't really see the parallel with Bush.

Bush is more Daryl Williams than he is Kenny Phillips.

Ol' 31, one of the most underrated great players in UM history. At most programs he's the standard bearer at safety. At Miami, he's a forgotten two-time All-American. But he was a great blend of athleticism, toughness and smarts. You can count on one hand how many deep balls Miami gave up in 90-91 during his two years as a starter

But either way, I think Miami is finally well-stocked at the safety position. If you think about what they've had since the departure of Kenny Philllips in 2007, it's been a forgettable run back there

Watching Tracy last year I really felt like the last few games he was able to start letting go and just play football. Tough learning curve for him and he was obviously thinking a lot out there but he started to just let it fly. Lots of pressure on him not to make mistakes so he looked like he was playing a bit robotic at times but the talent started to surface.

Could be a big year for him but I am really looking for Crawford to step up as well.

This is right on. Kid looked looked very good at season's end. I'm praying for any semblance of a pass rush because we have some sick talent in the defensive backfield.

Anxious to see where this kid ends up, CB or S. He will definitely see the field this year
