If so, you know the Golden rumors are gonna start up again.

I'd be shocked if Golden left now that the "cloud" has passed.
In a few years, maybe, but not before he's had a chance at a legit run w/o the NCAA issues.

In the outsiders eyes he has take us from 6 to 7 to 9 wins in 3 years after inheriting a grease fire and NCAA debacle. He has reeled in top recruiting classes too. He is a great face to the program, tremendous PR guy and savvy with the media.

The PSU job does not require Him to have wins or losses they want someone with ties to the school that will see them thru this mess, PSU fans understand losses when you don't have a full playing field etc.......they can dbl his money for sure, I would expect him to stay just to **** off the local crack head HS coaches....

You have to be kidding me. Golden just got done with the NCAA, why the **** would he go back into the fire for another 2 years with bowl bans?!?!? I don't give a **** if he graduated from there. PSU is a dead dog.

Penn State is the one place I wouldn't be surprised. But he's not going anywhere. The Mrs. loves Miami.
 
He'd be smart not to go to Penn State. As everyone else said, why would you walk away from one mess you just cleaned up into another one? And to the guy saying Penn State just wants someone consistent and doesn't care about wins/losses…you clearly have never been to Pennsylvania. PSU fans think they're just as good as OSU and Michigan and expect national contenders every year, just like here. Just because that doesn't match reality doesn't mean that is the expectation the fans/boosters set on the AD and coaching staff. Just like Golden, O'Brien is getting credit for dealing with the mess…for now. Once the mess is cleared up, like here, its same expectations, fans won't care that you were under investigation and couldn't recruit well for 3 years. It's not a good spot to be in right now, and I think they'd be better off picking up an up-and-comer like the ball state guy anyways.

Nobody is going to talk to Al until he divorces Mark. Simple. His days of being considered for every job that opens up are over until then.
