Big time get: Kevaughn Dingle commits

Kid does have great ball skills....but, Aldarius Johnson has made me very skeptical of local big bodied WRs with ball skills but without elite speed.

This kid is comfortable competing for the ball and big boys DBs constantly, but doesn't get any separation

I agree with you a bit, but Aldarius just quit working too. He was just as good as a true freshman as he was his last season.

that, and/or he hit his ceiling in high school.

the thing is Aldarius could have been a productive wr here....there is a spot for possession wr's. We think too much of nfl aspirations here because of how much nfl players we produce...but there is a role for a good college wr which he looks to be.

Guys like Kevin Beard, Ethenic Sands, Andre King were good players here.

I was a fan of Aldarius...I think injuries, and off field stuff kept him from producing more here to the level he could.

I want a wr that can beat up a db...O rmake the jumpball end zone grabs...Dingle looks to be that guy.

If Dingle doesn't produce a lot more than Beard, Sands and King, then he'll go down as a major disappointment. Those guys did next to nothing here.

Those guys were third or 4th options here at the time. That's his floor here is what I meant to say.
This wr core is about to get loaded. Im guessing Dingle would have better qb play and a more open offense done when those guys played. I think he will produce.

Aldarius as a freshman had a solid freshman year...had about 30+ catches and 3tds. Went downhill from there thouggh

I'll reiterate what I posted at the bottom of Page 2: How on earth are there more people questioning Dingle than Scott in their respective commitment threads? Dingle is bigger, stronger, looks more athletic in his highlights, and is far, far more productive than Scott.

Dingle's junior year (per 247): 29 receptions, 838 yards, 28.9 YPC, 11 TDs
Scott's junior year (per 247): 21 receptions, 270 yards, 12.9 YPC, 1 TD

Dingle isn't a burner, but certainly looks like someone who can still be a downfield target with his strength, ball skills, and 28.9 YPC in Dade County.

I don't care what his 40 time is. He averaged almost 30 yards a catch. Against top flight competition. On almost 30 catches. That's **** impressive. Even more impressive considering he couldn't just line up and run past the DB on a deep ball. That means the guy can run routes and fight for the ball. It also means he's trouble after the catch. Big, strong guy with a little bit of wiggle. Should be a productive player here.

All 3 of those WRs were good receivers - but it's a bit hard to get all the balls when you're competing with Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne, for starters....

I saw every game that every one of those guys played. And they did next to nothing here. Beard had one good game against UF. Sands was horrible, and King was a journeyman at best.

I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, ole 'Chise was being a smartass.
