I dont blame anybody for heading to St. Thomas..but of course If i was an opposing coach it would **** me off as it would you too

Most coaches worth a **** are able to build programs and environments that attract outside players and retain their own.

Damon Cogdell wasn't the smartest guy (or best coach) but he was able to build something solid at Miramar in a short time. He was attracting kids and not losing his own.

But guess what?

He bolted and the program fell apart.

That's the difference between STA and others. George Smith stayed for 40+ years and built a foundation.

It's tiresome hearing from these vagabonds and job chasers about STA's success. Those guys never put in the work and the time.

When you're not supposed to lose any games every loss is one you had no business losing.

I always say that if you want to be considered a good coach don't go to STA. Nobody after Smith will ever get any praise in that department.

I'd like to think that I'd still be annoyed by the behavior of Dade County people.

They rarely have facts and they only tout results that support their preconceived position.

Those games back in the day vs Lakeland were some good games I think they had more talent then you guys during the Pouncey and CJ spiller years and I agree with that statement about Smith...and good call on Cogdell...

but as an AP in a public school I know for a fact if your Principal doesnt put the infrastructure, time, and money into the football program you arent gonna go anywhere regardless how good your coach is most of the time the good coaches leave for a better opportunity also..and at some schools the administrators dont care for having a top notch football program..

but as an AP in a public school I know for a fact if your Principal doesnt put the infrastructure, time, and money into the football program you arent gonna go anywhere regardless how good your coach is most of the time the good coaches leave for a better opportunity also..and at some schools the administrators dont care for having a top notch football program..

Administrative support comes first. They have to hire the right guy and then support them going forward.

Can't say St Thomas is overrated. They win year in and year out. BTW is a winning program also, if STA scores at the end there do we say BTW isn't any good? Both great teams both will be playing for state titles.

They beat Dillard **** near 100-0 last week and turn around and is in a dog fight with BTW a team not even close to as loaded as them.

You're not posting ****. The issue Dade County people have with STA is they are never willing to play Dade County teams when they are nationally ranked program. You wasted time posting all those past games STA beat Dade County teams but how many of those were games against nationally ranked Dade County teams including that 5 loss BTW team from last year that you keep boasting about sta beating. STA had no idea Ice would be back coaching BTW when they agreed to the two game series last year. STA is willing to play nationally ranked teams from all over the country so why not play the top Dade County teams when they're still good and not try and schedule them when they fall off like they did with the West and thought they were doing with BTW before Ice came back.

Let's if STA is willing to reup on this series for next two years or will they run tail again like they have in the past when the top Dade County teams want to play them. I'm sure the moment Central falls off we'll finally get the STA/central series everyone wanted 4 years ago.
