I never heard where being British helped anything. But then again, I'm a Southerner - which is kind of like an informed Britisher with an uncanny ability to shoot anything, anywhere, anytime, from damned near any distance.

Berrios now, and whoever else wants to grab the next scholly gets it.
 
I think Berrios gives the team a good hedge in case Corn Elder chooses basketball only. I can see that happening.
 
-His dad and his dad's family are from S FL
-Raised a Cane
-Had a good time getting to know the coaches, especially Carroll
-Talked to Golden about the offer, said it isn't coming right now but maybe in the future
-Still talks to Carroll 3-4 times a week
-Says he will stay in touch with Miami because he has always been a Canes fan
-Says it's disappointing, but understands the situation
-Says he doesn't like it, but he isn't mad
-Says if Miami offers, they'd def be in the picture
-Plans on being an EE, so he will probably have a decision around October
-Says Golden is doing a great job
-Says he talked to Carroll before and after the SPARQ combine
-Carroll congratulated him and said to keep Miami on his mind cause they have things to figure out

Plausible. That would definitely explain the politics Berrios mentioned the other day.......Golden would be crucified if they pulled Harris' scholarship and gave it to a white boy from out of state.
 
Give him a couple days to make a decision, if he want's in fine. Can't make his mind up to bad. Scolly gone!

Ok, so an honest question here...

If the above is true about Harris, what position are they recruiting him for? WR? If not, like Evenkeel said, why don't they pull the offers from Worton and Powell? Would that still not make a difference, as a few have said already? If we aren't recruiting Harris at WR, then what is the space issue?
 
Miami seems to be the only school that likes treon at slot and not corner. Besides the ones that want him at qb

treon is dangerous with the ball in his hands...i can see him @ slot.

Would like him @ cb though he has good size and solid speed....but watch his film of when he takes off...he puts guys in the mix.

We do have Turner committed already at CB & Mayes is a CB/S. Add that to nigel might commit to us soon & Lammons is looming (not looking that good right now). Our corners are pretty young so I could see the staff wanting to fill other positions rather than a possible pickup of 3/4/5 corners. Treon is an athletic kid he will find a way to produce, just hate to miss out on berrios
 
Safety is a far bigger need then CB, although we need a few at each. Bush, Jenkins, Carter are the only S on the roster that will be here in 2014. They are all quality but need a little depth.

At CB we will have Gunter, Howard, Crawford, Dortch, Hope, Burns.

the same people say "lets offer berrios and forget the other dudes that are trying to wait" will be the same dudes that will say staff should have waited if if we give away a dude like jojo's ship away and he ends up being better, or berrios never cracks the starting lineup and just feel like he is taking up space and should transfer. hind sight is always 20/20
 
Berrios is a better prospect than JoJo and Worton. Powell can play running back. And me personally...I'm not holding my breath on a Booker T kid ever again. So there you have it...problem solved.
