I'm perfectly aware it's average especially considering the position. Didn't say anything else. I said it was fast enough considering it wasn't that we were getting beat deep. Deep routes obviously speed is more of a factor. You were saying you want more speed based on preference rather than anything results oriented. Also what I said was we didn't have anyone slower than a 4.5

Agreed.

Good coverage and taking the right angles beats straight-line speed nearly every time.

And don't get me wrong, I love straight-line speed too. Is there any possibility we get back to the "good old days", when some of the football team ran track in the off-season? Those days were a lot of fun.

Definitely should. Far as difference in str8 line speed and taking the right angles etc just ask Chris Johnson. We all know hes fast. What only the dedicated fanbase of his won't admit is his speed didn't mean **** if he had no vision.

Not true at all, a few of us here knew how special cam was before he played a snap here. If you watched a small amount of wazzu you could see it

You saw potential. You didn’t see his ceiling or anything close to the amount of sustained success he had here. There’s a reason he wasn’t even considered a 1st rounder last year and now will probably be 1.01

Yeah, and it's ridiculous to bemoan "lack of straight-line speed" when we seemed to need it most for a CB to chase down a WR before he could score a touchdown.

We could have had the EXACT SAME speed in 2024, and if we just took good angles and finished tackles, we would have gone undefeated.

You gonna tell me what i saw lmao??? I was telling people bet every dollar you have on him to win the heisman. I said he will go down as one of our greatest players ever before he played a snap here

And i literally said on this board that if his draft grade was true then he would be the stealnof the draft because he is better than bo nix and jj McCarthy
