BC vs. Miami 241pm ESPN2

I'm gonna let the photo speak for itself so I don't get attacked (too much) by the slurpers... I was trying to focus on Coach L, arms folded moodily (angry?) after Wong mucked up the last (hero-ball) possessions. They were still folded after Jordan's great defensive play and Sam's (questionable) pass to Charlie and the buzzer-beater miracle winning layup by Jordan after Charlie's sizzling pass to him. Due to camera angles, Jim dropped off the screen as the winning shot was made, but some digging found another camera angle and there he is as the ball goes THRU the hoop (SEE THE PIC!)

Bewilderment? I don't know, arms still folded, not raised in celebration or joy. And then he immediately turned to meet the BC coach as the winning Canes were joyfully celebrating the winning shot. Something doesn't seem right, Whatever it is, I hope its not contagious, and that he can still "dance", cause we need Charlie's enthusiasm and spark if we are gonna prosper further this year.

Coach L has been a part of a lot of games in his life and many games that carried more at stake than this game. He isn't overreacting because he's probably unhappy with how UM played and thinking about the next game. This was not NC State beating Houston and Jimmy V looking for someone to hug.

He has openly stated in interviews that they run the same offense against zone and man. I will never forget listening to it because I’ve Never heard it said at any level

They have a base offense but they run variations and different schemes against different defenses. That’s pretty easy to see for yourself.

Understandable. But looking at the BC emotion and elation (from Coach on down) and how it carried them miles above expectation, seems like Jim might try the same. But he's got the lengthy legendary record and career, and now the extension, so I guess we dare not question THIS aspect of his coaching.

He’s upset at how they played. I don’t understand why there is a question about that?

It’s ironic because our “fans” are all ****ed about how we advanced to the semis with a lackluster performance and attacking Jim… and then Jim gets attacked for looking ****ed about the team’s poor performance at the end of the game.

This is honestly confusing and does make it seem like the attacks on Jim are not in good faith.

I know you’re a good fan and good poster but…

I thought I'd seen rock bottom for a fan or fan base but this might be it.

23 wins, just won on a buzzer beater to advance to the ACC Tournament Semifinals and a guy is actually whining about the head coach having his arms folded.

🤡 post. Do better.

Nobody is looking nor gives a shlt about the coach’s posture at that point in the game.

They won on a classic old school basketball pass and lay in. That’s a pretty play in any era. But I have to say, this is the first time I’ve ever read a post talking about where a coach’s hands were placed while a winning shot was being made. Especially in a conference quarter final game, where the outcome made no difference to NCAA tourney inclusion.

if you’re going to be that picky, did you also watch how he was interacting with players on the way to the locker room in the hallways?

Especially when he was talking to Wong? That’s where a lot of the real coaching goes on, in case you haven’t figured out how people are dealt with.

Unbelievable.
