Battlegrounds

This shows me that recruits are able to look past our performance this season and realize see the bigger long term picture.

We as fans are impatient and rightfully so after the last 15 plus years, but Mario is recruiting at a level we haven’t seen or been accustomed to in a long long time.

He can sell playing time. **** these kids see the same thing we do and know/think they can see the field early and all kids/classes think they will be the change. Next year he has to win more but he can still sell we are transitioning and tell top kids we need you here now to fix this

Have you seen Sarkisian's new wife?

She's a whole bill.

Ain't no way his goofy *** focusing purely on coaching.
They say the best recruiters have the best wives lol

Wouldn't count him out with the Texas boosters too

For those wondering though, here is Steve's new wife

Need to plant the flag down in Tejas next...

TAMU will forever be an underachiever with Jumbo & UT will never get anywhere with Sark.

Texas is ripe for a ransackin’.

Also need to invade STL (IL/MO) too, they have a sh*t ton of talent every class, especially at WR.
My friend was roommates in college with a few guys from East St. Louis, and they were huge Miami fans. I think UM could have success there if they really put in the effort.

Lakeland, FL- Beat UF for Cormani McClain

No location or school is off-limits. Time to win some of these local battles.

Once CMC rights this ship, I think we've got a chance to be an even bigger factor in North and Central Florida recruiting.

Could see us signing 4-5 top kids from those two regions combined each year.

I just don't see it. Maybe, with our new NIL approach, we can get into Houston and brawl, with cash on top of the table for a change, with LSU and A&M. Maybe even some of the DFW, but Miami recruits city kids the best. I don't see us in the Odessas of Texas, and those places are where a lot of talent comes from. And, with the portal, if we do get country kids, we've got to be able to keep them.

As said by the legend:

“I just can’t recruit where there’s grass around. You gotta have a concrete lawn before I feel comfortable enough to go in and talk to you parents.”

Eric Winston (Midland TX I believe) says hello. Winning and championships is what gets you in the game. NIL only levels the playing field, makes bags a non-factor. And besides, we don't have to dominate, just cheery pick a few.

The majority of the talent in TX is in Houston & the Dallas/FW/North Dallas areas.

TX is pretty much just like Florida when it comes to recruiting, schools like Notre Dame, Oh ST, Clemson, Stanford, Michigan, Michigan ST & even PSU sign 4-star prospects annually out of TX.

The best kids in TX are going to Bama, LSU, TAMU, UGA & Oklahoma, the usual suspects, but Miami can get in that mix as well if we're going to continue recruiting at the level we're at now. It's simply a matter of effort & selling the program.

If a talented 4/5-star kid will leave Texas to go to Stanford, then he'll come to Miami too, all we have to do is pursue him the same way we do with the FL kids.

Love Winston. Top TE recruit in the country that year. Now give me 10 other serious contributors we ever got from more rural Texas. Over the history of our program. Go ahead, take your time, I'll wait.

It is so amusing when people use the exception to try to subvert the rule. All they do is actually prove the rule. What's next, Ed Reed as a 2 star? Ok, then a list of other Miami all-American 2 stars....

Miami should recruit city kids. That is where we have the most success and recruits being comfortable, right away, is critical in the portal era.

I told win and loses do matter in recruiting, but we dropping bags and the recruits believe in the coaching staff
I was half in half out of that camp. I never doubted Mario as a crooter, I did worry the l's stacking up may turn some kids off. Hope he continues to prove me wrong.

El, I respect your perspective and agree with most of what you say. But I don't think we'll ever be a Texas presence. Now if we get to the state where we just cherry pick, that is a different story, and that is largely where Bama and UGA are. Schools like A&M and Oklahoma have always been around and likely always will be.

As to the Stanford comparison, just no. Stanford goes national because it has to. And it gets kids because it is Stanford. We should seldom be head to head for Stanford targets, plus they ain't twitchy.
