Sure if he qualifies he can get additional academic scholarships. But a better more lucrative option would be for the school to set him up with the 1st lucrative likeness advertisement gig they workout with a local Miami business.

Not to mention dad gets a 33% raise and every one is happy an no one feels disrespected because Ishmael would be put on athletic scholarship in year 2, thus avoiding the 25 cap annual Intial Counter rules, but he still counts against the 85 man max. An best of all UM gets to preserve 1 intial counter spot in the
2021 class to add a player, considering how tight we are for 2021 spaces we need to be creative.

Have. you read ANYTHING about NIL opportunities? Yeah, schools and coaches can't steer anything to players, and everything will be submitted to the NCAA for scrutiny. They will also be checking for market value, so that nobody can set up a $100K "autograph signing session" or a $250K "car dealership sponsorship".

Yet another delusional "NIL will mean riches for players" nutjob. The NCAA hasn't even approved anything yet.
[/QUOTE]

I said nothing about riches , but rather enough money to cover room and board for a year. $20k-$30k would cover it if rooms with a teammate off campus then his portion of rent is roughly $1k a month so he would still put money in his pocket.

Nope. Wrong again.

NIL hasn't even passed yet at the NCAA level. Incoming freshmen won't be making 30K per year in their first month on campus. You are delusional.

$EC Bag men pay more than that as down payments, so yes appearance fees will generate a lot of money for freshmen. Especially from businesses that are UM friendly.

I'm done with you, crack-smoker. I don't give a **** about "SEC Bag men", the NCAA is going to scrutinize every deal, and there's not a single no-name true freshman who is going to get an obvious $30K payoff.

Just keep fantasizing about big paydays, it's not going to happen.

"Businesses that are UM friendly". Yeah, more delusions.

It's not going to happen the way you think it's going to happen.

The NCAA knows how to sniff out BS deals and it's going to be easy.

So what you think the players are going to get a few hundreds for marketing appearances in major metropolitan city.

You know what I am done with you, just as you were WRONG on the blueshirt issue, you are just as uniformed on this.

You are a clownish buffoon, I brought up the blueshirt rule before you ever did.

And, yes, TRUE FRESHMEN aren't going to get ANY money, not if they don't have a pre-existing internet presence like Tate Martell did. The NCAA is absolutely NOT going to sign off on thousands of dollars of obviously fake "endorsement deals" for kids who have never played a snap of college football.

That is what is so pathetic about you, you just invent loopholes that you convince yourself are soooo smart that nobody can figure them out.

The NCAA will need to give approval on all deals. THAT is what will be the control over your "SEC bag men" sham deals.

NIL; does this means schools can start selling player’s jerseys again at local stores v. generic jerseys?

It should. However, the NCAA might set some limits. For instance, they might not allow, say, AllCanes to make jerseys for every incoming freshmen, and then allow thousands of fans to "buy" those jerseys in order to funnel money to players.

You have this pattern of insulting posters to try an d deflect from accepting that you wrong about a particular topic just as you are doing now and just as what did throughout the Blue shirt Threads until it became public that was the route Williams was going then all of a sudden you became this BlueShirt expert.

So I will simply take the high road and welcome UM's latest commit an wait to see what NIL endorsement deals come his way, then we can revisit this discussion if you would like.

Does anyone know if these kids will be able to make $$$ advertising on their social media accounts? I see a lot of UM recruits asking for followers...

Here an informative breakdown of projected NIL income across all of FBS. So one can reasonably expect players in larger media markets will make more the projected average range of $1K-$10K per player.
