Baseball series is bigger than Duke game this weekend

If baseball takes the series today, it will be the biggest win for UM sports in 2011-2012. Indisputable. It's amazing to see so many UM fans pulling for baseball to lose.

def not the biggest win for UM for this year, no shot. Beating Duke the way the basketball team did, coming back at NC St. Beating UNC both times are bigger stories since we havent had this good a run since the sweet 16 run with Salmons, Helmsley and Jennings. Biggest win for UM baseball came when DiMare came back on board, he solidifies recruiting by getting the guys good enough to play at UM but won't get drafted high enough to sign.
 
If those wins were so big we wouldn't need to win tonight. Also if this game is so big, why is it on at 6:00 PM? That is when the news is on.
 
Beating the 3-7 gators is huge (first time we won a game against them since when? 2006?).

But it doesn't put us in the elite of baseball, not even close. Hosting a Regional, getting to the CWS. THAT means we are back.

So we only need one big win per year? Also, TV schedules are set months in advance. The 6pm slot on ESPN is pretty big for college hoops... who watches the news on a Saturday? Would you say the same thing if we got a 6pm slot for football?

(1) Wrong year.
(2) You must be incredibly myopic to think winning a baseball series early in the season against a team with a losing record (our hated rivals, yes, but still an OOC series early in the season) is bigger than the basketball team beating the #1 team in the nation by 27.
(3) How does saying that the basketball game is bigger = pulling for us to lose in baseball?? It's not like we can only pick one team to win! I want us to crush those stupid Crocs, but that doesn't mean that it's a bigger game for the school than the hoops game at Cameron Indoor (top 5 teams matching up on national TV). You're clearly just making stuff up now, so I'm done.
