What I want Golden to say is - "I'm happy at Miami and I have no plans to leave for Penn State." If he does not say anything like that in the next few days, that would tell me that he'll at least listen to what Penn State have to offer.
I would not blame him for not making a statement like that given that it's his alma mater, but on a professional level, I wouldn't want to risk losing recruits who are on the fence and lose what is considered by most a top 5 class...
As for not wanting Louisville in the ACC, I don't blame Miami one bit. It is a matter of protecting your home turf since they recruit Miami too. Also, they still have Hurtt and Miami is trying to move on from anyone involved in the Nevin mess...
As for not wanting Louisville on opening day, it is probably because of several reasons 1) the talk of Teddy coming back (which I seriously doubt); 2) breaking in a new QB (which most likely looks like Williams); and 3) Miami new desire (under Golden administration) to play cupcakes on opening day and play a lighter schedule. Miami has been barking to the ACC about not playing on Labor Day, but it will not matter. Swofford sold his soul and the ACC to ESPN for the next decade. If ESPN want a Miami vs. Louisville match-up, they will get it.
