Lmao at asking not to see Louisville again so soon.

"No mas, please." Wow.

Funny how Miami went from playing FSU in the Orange Bowl GAME in January of 04, to playing them again in the Kickoff Classic in September of 04.

It was all good then... A lifetime ago.

What I want Golden to say is - "I'm happy at Miami and I have no plans to leave for Penn State." If he does not say anything like that in the next few days, that would tell me that he'll at least listen to what Penn State have to offer.

I would not blame him for not making a statement like that given that it's his alma mater, but on a professional level, I wouldn't want to risk losing recruits who are on the fence and lose what is considered by most a top 5 class...

As for not wanting Louisville in the ACC, I don't blame Miami one bit. It is a matter of protecting your home turf since they recruit Miami too. Also, they still have Hurtt and Miami is trying to move on from anyone involved in the Nevin mess...

As for not wanting Louisville on opening day, it is probably because of several reasons 1) the talk of Teddy coming back (which I seriously doubt); 2) breaking in a new QB (which most likely looks like Williams); and 3) Miami new desire (under Golden administration) to play cupcakes on opening day and play a lighter schedule. Miami has been barking to the ACC about not playing on Labor Day, but it will not matter. Swofford sold his soul and the ACC to ESPN for the next decade. If ESPN want a Miami vs. Louisville match-up, they will get it.

O'Brien leaving Penn State.

Some guys' reaction: "zomg guysm...Golden's a Nittany Lion Alumnus! He's for sure headed to Happy Valley! What are we gonna do?!"

Other guys' reaction: "zomg guysm...Thank God! We can finally get rid of Golden, No-D-Frio! Bring me the contracts to draw up for Jimmy Johnson as HC and Ed Reed/Ray Lewis as Co-DC's!!!"

And I'm just over here, like: "I wonder if we can pull Thomas Holley away from PSU's class to help with our need for MOAR DT's........"

There not asking to not play Louisville again... We have no choice we play them next season no matter what.

There just asking don't put it as our 1st game of the season.

Why would we not want a shot at redemption against Lville. That statement about not wanting to play them but "bracing" for it is so pathetic. I cannot understand how anyone associated with the team would say something like that.

Good news on supplanting Rayshawn Jenkins. His play the second half of the season has been pretty bad. The bowl game he was extremely lazy in his coverage, pursuits downfield and angles as well.

Exactly. I want the Canes to open with a cream puff at home every single season! It's what all powers do...

****, the hatred some of you have for Al Golden is causing stupid and childish thinking. Some of you need to grow a pair or just find another team...

F'ing idiots in this site!

Its the "Al Golden" way. Remember this is the guy that said he wanted no parts of LSU. LOL. Man, I am slowly but surely starting to turn on this guy as the days go by. He is really turning this program into the programs we use to laugh about. Smh.

umm yall know how to read? we're not saying we dont want to play Lville... Get a brain morans.

Another factor could have been LVille's lower academic standards, not saying I agree with that - just noting it is a likely factor. Personally I would rather have WVU in the ACC if they were going to take schools with lower standards. Taking LV was pretty much a reaction to the many national conference re-alignments and expansion.

I read it just fine, still sounds like we are scared as **** to play them in the first game. It's really sad.

Miami goes from "anybody, anytime, anywhere", to "please ACC, don't make us open with Louisville. They're bullies"

I don't buy this interpretation. Just because they'd prefer not to play the same team twice in a row means that they're now scared? BS.

They're on the schedule, we're not scared and it's not uncommon for teams to prefer to not play the same team over and over. They'd say the same thing had we won the bowl game.

I don't think he is scared. Think it is a smart move. His system and players are still a year away from the we will play anyone anywhere talk. For me he has next year to show more improvement and then the following year to have us a NC contender. Let his first full recruiting class become JR and SR before we start the play Bama and then ***** why we got curbed stomped.

I guess I blame the Dade county public school system for so many illiterate fans!
I have a feeling many on this board would have been "non qualifiers".

Someone is really in here talking about the 2015 season? Wtf! We cannot afford to wait while FSU is playing for championships

Lville was the only school they could agree on. I believe the bylaws allow a block for schools within a certain distance and BC blocked UCONN.
