Bandy Alert!

So cbs committed under rumph's watch
*Trajan bandy, Chris Henderson, Brian Edwards, Dj Ivey and counting. That's talent right there. With him having our cbs playing agressive and improving if Henderson bandy and Edwards is all we bring in at CB this cycle then I will food real good about that. Also deejay Dallas will probably play that position as well. That's a great CB class when you think about it
2017
Chris Henderson
Trajan bandy
Deejay Dallas
Brian Edwards
Much is made about rumph's recruiting but it's unwarranted and overblown IMO. Just because a player doesn't follow his coach to the college level doesn't mean anything especially in south Florida( broward county) specifically. A lot of those kids grow up wanting to leave south Florida anyway
2018
Dj Ivey
Josh jobe
Gilbert frierson

In prime position to land blades, Tyson Campbell and others

He's coming here. This locks up CJ Henderson and Josh Jobe for good. Top 10 class looking very possible now

Buddy, we already got a top 10 class. That's a definite. We will 10+ games and we might sneak in the top 6-7.

Nah. It's a top ten class because of volume at this point in the cycle, but the team is actually 15th or 16th in average composite rating. Which is fine. They close out with some big ones and it may be top ten. But it's more quantity than quality right now.

I agree 100%.....also, to those who believe Bandy is too short ...Yes he's only 5'10....however his wingspan allows him to play closer to 6'0....IMO

Alot of our guys havent been fully evaluated. For a scout to tell me that Dingle, Steed, Ford and Edwards are 3*s is crazy. Jennings too. Many are seriously undervaluing our class.

The one i dont see the hype in is Steed. Im not saying hes not a take, and I always love grabbing a kid from central, but i just dont see what makes him a 4 star. I hope he shuts me up this year and blows up.

I'm not so worried about where we end up being ranked. Even during our dominant years, we've rarely had top-5 rated recruiting classes. FSU and UF regularly outrecruit us (at least according to the "experts" rankings).

What's important is the result on the field. If we get a good % of the players that the staff targets, we're recruiting well.

Told yall Coach would have him and Jennings wait until fall camp starts to announce to keep the momentum going. That's 3 of the silents. One more? CMR playing chess while these motherfvckers playing tic tac toe.

Now convince me that he has Jeudy set to flip on NSD and I will smile and start to forget about Butch.

I think every fan in every fan base probably thinks this, but it's fair to say Edwards and Dingle in particular should be consensus 4-star players.

At the end of the day we're splitting hairs at the top. It's not like 3-star players aren't quality. There are 130 teams at this level and we're talking about a potentially top ten class. Coaching wil factor into everything as well regarrdless of differences in star ratings.

It's just a part of the analysis, not the deciding factor. Recruiting ratings matter some, so does coaching and conditioning, etc. Just pointing out where the class is.

Obviously by the looks of Oregon, TCU, K-State, Baylor, Michigan State, and Houston the star rating systems can be slightly overrated. It's about popularity and perception.

On the flip side, when a school like Bama, OSU, FSU, or Clemson do get these higher ranked kids, well it brings prestige to your school and other kids wanna play w other top kids. I do feel it's equally as important that we finish w a top 8 class this year, along with a winning season, to start becoming a machine again. Top kids wanna play with top kids...so yeah, I'm a little miffed at some of our kids being 3 stars w 4 star talent while other kids like Marco who hasn't played a down is ranked as a 4 star kid. Our class rankings would be higher if some of kids were rated properly.

We also need to change the bias of these sports agencies. Our scholly offers need to mean something, again. My boy used to work for "Sporting News", and he put me up on game about that; if a school has a winning pedigree and offers a player a scholarship, that can boost his rating as well. Our schollies used to mean the world, and it'll get back to that, fa sho.

I think Richt is scheduling when his silents announce. Strategic momentum leading up to the season.

After Bandy we'll have 1 more silent to announce and whenever they announce the IPF. Plenty more momentum to come!

You think he is scheduling the commits or Bandy just saw Wilder potentially lose his spot and he is securing his? If its the latter then I hope that pushes up a potential flip from Hollomon and Harley.

I can't remember when we became the school that needs all star classes to win. We used to make unknown kids become stars on Greentree. Which has been a big problem before. The kids on our team now. Have potential, if Mark Richt can get their potential out of them. We will have no problem recruiting. Then we'll stop worrying about who went to play at LSU and Bama. Those places are dumps especially Tuscaloosa. They need bagmen and boosters and all star classes to recruit as well as big name HC. We need to start creating animals on Greentree again. Hungry players who know what they want and who tf they are representing. It starts with the defense punishing teams physically. There are so much teams who do way better than we do with less stars. But we only focus on Clemson, FSU and Bama......because they are hot now. We had the worse coaching staph we have ever had under Golden and FSU had to squeak out wins against them 3/4 years. We'll be fine

And I agree with you. Unless we close with elite-rated guys like Leatherwood, McFarland, etc., we'll probably end up with around the #10-ranked class.
