The class is nice if we land Thomas, Harley, and Dean which seem to be the more possible. That would definitely address receiver and provide us an immediate corner that could be in the 2-deep next year or starting.

But our secondary depth, particularly at corner is lacking. The only Miami quality corners that we have are Redwine, Young, Bandy (committed) and that's about it. We keep speculating on where Deejay's playing. Guys like Jackson and Mayes aren't Miami quality guys. We need Edwards and CJ in this class, or at least 1 of the 2.

Y'all realize that if the get one of the two that will be the only battle they would have beaten us in? No I don't think we wanted Davis as much as some say we do. We dropped Gamble. Didn't want telfort. And we took Donaldson Herbert and one of those guys.

Nice perspective. I do think we wanted Davis but that wasn't much of a battle, kid was all UF like Donaldson was all Miami.

Exactly man. And let me take it one step further. FSU didn't get anyone from down here. We went 1-1 against them. Took Vaughn they got Kitten. That's fine by me. No FSU TE does anything. The fence is slowly being built man. I think it's up. We about to lock it soon.

If we get Dean, that's FOUR Miami quality CBs for 2017 (excluding DJ who could actually play this as well). Plus Mayes and Jackson as emergencies. What is the problem with this?

Unfortunately given our depth at corner, I think both will be at Miami next year. Unless the staff can pull a grad transfer or two.

I agree. Wilson's family influenced him to go to G-ville, but I wasn't mad at that one. As you said, Davis was the real loss there. But given how garbage their offense is, they needed o-linemen and we beat them out for Donaldson and Herbert.

But we need secondary help as well.

yup.. this class is a failure.. fk edwards.. he another Redwine to me.. but Henderson is type of player we can't miss out on.. bruh we paying Richt x10 more money.. and the only difference so far is Defensive Scheme and new S&C (jury still out).. We got the same **** results in recruiting except x10 more teasers.. I've always said that Golden was a solid recruit.. but he would make our players fat and put them in trash scheme..

I think we (canes fans) should be disappointed with this class if we don't close on Macfarland, Smith, Henderson, and Edwards. That finishing class would be very similar statistically to many of Golden's classes. Golden never had a class with this much speed though.

Im all about holding myself and people close to me accountable for their results. Don't give me excuses. Give results. My expectation for a Miami coach is to win the coastal every year. We also should get top ten classes no matter what. Once we win the coastal regularly we should then expect to get top 5 classes. Anything short of this is a failure.

I'm not sure why that makes me a mope. This is Miami. Have some fuc king standards ladies. I like coach Richt, but i like results (winning) more. 9-4 with a bowl win over WVU isnt good enough for me. This year will be a disappointment for me. That makes me no less a Cane fan.
