UOregon has a large presence in California though. UO feels a whole helluva lot closer than Miami to someone in Southern California.

For sure, but all I said was that if distance was a factor he wouldn't have picked Oregon. Not as far away as Miami but it's still far. If it was about distance he would have gone to USC.

Now I believe he went there because they have a good program and lanning has a reputation as a good defensive coach. he probably gets their games on tv since they're still in the PAC etc. But it has nothing to do with grandma being able to drive to his games or being able to come home for a home cooked meal. Like I said, it's like going from Miami to DC.

As someone from Washington DC who went to Miami, I can tell you that 2.5 hour flight or 1,000 mile drive absolutely worked in Miami's favor vs a school on the west coast that would be a be a 6+ hour flight and 3,000+ mile drive.

Like I said to the other guy, I didn't say Miami is as close as Oregon to Breland's home, I said Oregon is still far away. He had USC as an option. Obviously it wasn't just about distance, since it's not like his only two choices were Oregon and Miami.

Regardless it doesn't matter. Mario is like 0-4 on the elite DT's this cycle. No bueno.

Lowkey should have prioritized dlineman last year, was a better class imo especially at IDL. Ill take peter woods over all of these guys

There are still plenty of quality 2nd tier 2024 DT recruits available that Miami is keeping warm. An yes I agree the 2023 class had a lot of quality depth.

Go Canes

Joe was big in Armondo’s commitment… I’ve rightfully bashed him before but cant do it after he just helped land arguably the best DL commitment in recruiting era for canes.

This stinks but Mario got it, we’re 4-0 and Im in slurper mode until at least first L.
