Not 1, but 2 toes, and a chunk of his leg was filleted. He has to get physical therapy twice a day and can't stand for long periods of time. He has a family history of blood clots.

Being in the same state as Saban and being second fiddle and having to recruit at a high level level is a different animal.
Aurburn fans are desperate. That booster base is likely going after a younger guy.

Fwiw Steele wanted and thought he was getting the job at 62. So I can't imagine him being like.. nah 64 is just too old.

At this point the boosters might just want stability more than innovation.
