Pete says he coming but his twitter feed says otherwise. Personally I think we blew it with him coming in this late. Looks like were down to the heritage boys.

He posted a picture with Banda 3 days ago and retweeted that he's "still thinking about both FSU and Miami". How is his feed all FSU?

It's not. His last few days have been all FSU but he's also on a visit. If he doesn't shut it down, Richt has the advantage.

His twitter is littered with FSU trash. He looks like anyone would who didn't want to take that pic with Banda. Move on. I REALLY hope I
am wrong

If we're reading the twitter leaves, Joyner's was ALL FSU --

Until he decommitted and flipped in like 12 hrs.

Well see.

I'm not sure who we close with.. I think we onky taking two more guys tops. Class will still finish top 5 especially after all our guys crush the all star games.

Miami exceeded most expectations for the season, was THE most talked about program in college football (especially with the turnover chain), won the ACC coastal, has a unbelievable new practice facility getting built and a tremendous home field advantage in a terrific stadium, and was nationally respected enough that we could have made the playoffs even with the absolutely embarrassing loss in Pittsburgh. If Miami can't keep home the elite talent now, then Richt needs to take a hard look at the recruiting program.

I think we get Campbell, but feel like Richt and co. botched it big-time by not getting on Samuels earlier. Kid wanted to be a Cane so bad that he might have committed to Al Golden, but seems like Richt is still too focused too much on "measurables" over kids who just have a knack for being playmakers. Miami has never lacked on getting players who can develop NFL-level physiques, but I don't think we've done a great job of finding true playmakers, which has more to do with natural football instincts than body type. We had a handful of playmakers last year and most of them were the players who don't have the elite size P5 programs usually look for. Jeff Thomas, Berrios, Dallas, and Bandy were the differencemakers this year, and all of them have less than ideal size for the position they play. No qb even completed against Samuels this year, but since he is 5'9" he wasn't a priority. Here's a helpful hint for recruiting in S. Florida: if a player has elite football stats (like zero passes completed against) facing S. Fl competition, then he should get an offer regardless of physical size.

But we recruited Trajan Bandy? This argument holds no water

I didn't say Richt didn't recruit ANY playmakers- I said I think there is too much priority on measureables as opposed to playmaking ability. There is no argument for why Samuels didn't get recruited other than he didn't have the size Richt and co. were looking for in CBs. Kid wanted to be a Cane and his game numbers are amazing- I think Pete said that no QB even completed a pass against him. Just crazy that they are only getting on him now.

Anyone who knows the cruiting game knows this. Commits visiting always do this as they should but if he doesn't shut it down he's still thinking about us

Also:
1) I don't think Richt even bothers to recruit Samuels if Jobe had stuck with his commitment and not played games.
2) Samuels finally got on the radar because another undersized playmaker who was recruited late (Bandy) got in the coach's ear.

He committed in early August before his senior season. Wrong again.

1) Jobe was a free safety here not a cornerback
2) Bandy has been in the coaches ears for a long time

Dont think Asante's recruitment has anything to do with Jobe. You do know evaluations coaches have can change right?

Late?

Bandy had an offer before the Summer going into his senior year. And that was Richt's 1st year recruiting.

Richt also recruited Malek Young here, and Gurvan Hall is only 5'10", so again this size argument is just stupid.

I have no idea how 75% of the posters here get through their daily lives, they whine and cry about literally everything. As long as Asante doesn't sign early, we're good. Taggart has used up his in-home and OV

Bingo. No gripe in agreeing that the previous two staffs, especially Golden prioritized size, but anyone trying to complain that the staff is doing that now is insane

If you guys were around there were many threads pleading for Bandy, he was committed to Oklahoma and when he was finally offered, a lot of folks thought he would hold resentment. I remember it very well but I'm not bashing this staff, after the last 15 years of garbage, personally I'm quite happy

if our staff convinces him to visit we get him period.

let emperor Trajan be the host and its a wrap.
