Dude all I said was I would not be surprised if Jimbo made another run at Mario. They offered him before he took the UM job supposedly. Now they have an OC spot available. Obviously Mario is a monster recruiter with ties to SoFla. Why wouldnt they make a run at him? I didnt post that Mario was going up there, I was responding to the post by simply saying I wouldnt be surprised if Jimbo offered Mario the OC position. They offered him before, now they have an OC spot, so why not try to steal him with an even better offer than before? Im not saying Mario is leaving, or he would even consider it, but Mario is just the kind of OC Jimbo needs, strong recruiter, with ties to SoFla, and is young so he could probably ride with Jimbo calling the plays, or at least that is how FSU would see it.

JEEBUS Friggin Christ on a rubber crutch. I AGREE with you. I dont think he would take it, I never said he WOULD take it. All I said was I wouldnt be surprised if Jimbo made another run at him with a sweeter offer than before. He tried to get him before, now he has a bigger position to offer him. How hard would it be to float an unofficial offer through back channels to see if Mario is interested? I imagine his agent could handle it pretty easy, "Hey Agent X, do you think Mario would be amenable to talking to FSU about any new openings they have"? Agent X "No, he's said he's not entertaining any new offers, or well what are you guys offering?".

Not that big of a deal, Im sure it happens 100 times to higher profile coaches during the off season.

No way he tries to steal Mario? HE OFFERED MARIO BEFORE he came here. Jimbo obviously knows that Mario would be a HUGE recruiting asset for SoFla. And why WOULDNT he offer him the OC? What reputable OC is goign to take that gig at FSU anyway? Anyone who takes it knows they would have to work under Jimbo's offense. So its going to likely be offered to a position coach looking to be a first time OC anyway. If Im Jimbo, Mario is the FIRST "feeler" I send out. That doesnt mean he would take it, or its likely to happen.

What seasoned OC is Jimbo going to get anyway? Jimbo wants someone like Coley who can live with Jimbo meddling if not flat out running the offense. Just was saving it, you only get one first post, lol. Just Couldn't wait any longer after the last 24hrs, Things seems to really be falling into place and I'm happy as S***. Now if we land those kids that were thinking or leaning fsu in the next week or so Just more icing on the cake.
