Article on portal players Miami might want

Are all players we should consider kicking the tires, both for immediate starters & for players that could give us depth even if they have to sit a year, like Justin Rogers, Justin Shorter & Devin Bush etc..

For GT immediate pt guys, bring me Tatum, King, Corbin & Ruiz.

QB, OL, K (unless price is wowing you in practice)

I guess if we don't bring in the 4th WR you can entertain that too, but OL is the main thing.

Now king is someone I’d like but we don’t run the spread. Qb is a non issue with what we have on our roster if they played in the right offense IMO

Just a guess, but if Kiffin ends up at Ole Miss, I can see him adding Kendall Briles to staff as they worked together at FAU....would Corbin and King reunite with their old coach at Ole Miss? Albeit, Ole Miss doesn't seem to lack talent at QB and WR right now.

Justin Shorter from PSU is intriguing....big, strong and athletic....if he ends up at the right program he could be what Cager was to UGA this year.

They were talking like he was the best receiver in the country in his class when he came out, never understood why it never materialized for him at penn state. I would take him for sure

The qb room is way bigger than improvement and physical issues. A kicker will 100% be added.

Instead of 3 oline I would take

1 olineman maybe 2
1 receiver if Thomas leaves
1 cb transfer portal guy( more names will be added)
1 kicker transfer

We have other more pressing needs on the roster outside of qb, its not some dire situations. Williams/Perry have talent and shown flashes, if placed in an even better system Williams in particular has the potential of being a very capable starter and Perry as well
 
If you can get King, a kicker, and an offensive tackle who will actually push for starting time (not become a 3rd string pariah) I’m all on board. An experienced corner to keep the young guys of the field for 1 more season would be nice too.

I don’t foresee Miami needing or wanting as many transfers as last year.

With the class currently (21) they could take at most 4-5 transfers today?

Unless there are rule changes with the recruits they are chasing we might only have room for 1-2 transfers.

I don’t want king in this system. If we got applewhite that would change things obviously

I don’t know WTF Penn State did to ***** with Shorter, but that kid is a stud. I saw him in the state final as a sophomore in a game with several D1 players and he was clear as day the best player on the field. I think he stays close to home, but that dude has elite physical talent and if we can get him it’s a big time add.
