Somewhere along the way, you switched to a new argument that Puke sends kids to UM so everyone here should STFU. From the interview it sounds like Luther Campbell would really like for his players to go to Miami. The bashing of UM well I'll tell it like this. If any of you have children you get mad and angry when your child does something you don't like. But you still love the child. You may have a family member whom you don't like there actions but you still love them.
Point being I believe that Luther Campbell really does "Love" Miami. but if you do decide to bash Miami it is to be done privately not publicly for all forms of media (Radio, TV, Twitter, etc.) to use against you. You praise in public and humiliate in private.
We cannot take the entire South Florida every season. But there are to sides to every story and then there is the truth that lies in the middle. UM has a story and Luther Campbell has a story. Rationally speaking I won't take a side.
Put yourself in Luke's shoes. You wish the best for your players. You would love to have all of your top guys go to Miami year in and year out. Miami doesn't take your guy so you become outraged.

Put yourself in Miami's shoes small class. Only so many spots to fill and you would like to fill it with top flight talent. You don't offer in the best interests of UM. That's your story.

If Luke is all that you say, then how come in the last 72-48 hours before signing day when UM was getting dragged through the mud(not by Yahoo or the NCAA) but by a certain local faction, how come old Loopy Luke didn't go public and speak up for Al and UM? Intstead he jump on the bandwagon(as usual) and helped kick us while we were down.

Thomas and Kirkland both have alluded to the situation as being a negative against UM favor. The local press ran with it and lingering effects will surely follow. Luke could have helped bridge the gap,set the record straight and went all in for UM. He didn't.

You're a smart guy...asking to substantiate Luke calling Ice "The Don" is silly. If you don't know who Ice Harris is or what he is to the inner cities of Miami, maybe this forum isn't for you.
I've never changed course...my opinion of Luke has always been pretty much the same...he makes a lot of noise...but, he's harmless.

In this very interview to start this thread, he perpetuates a myth about Al Golden doing something bad to Ice Harris. And the OP didn't even bother to ask him the 'whachu talking bout puke?' follow up question. And you get into this thread with your comment that he called Ice the 'Don' so of course we couldn't ask a follow up question theory, which is pretty much vapid and gone from your current line of attack. Somewhere along the way, you switched to a new argument that Puke sends kids to UM so everyone here should STFU. Which would have been a credible cover for you to duck and run from the thread, except you keep re-upping on it and it's not a legitimate defense of anything. And now you're just trolling, with your bob and weave nonsense. None of that has **** to do with the fact that this site gave the guy a platform and didn't even both ask him the money question. I've never changed course...my opinion of Luke has always been pretty much the same...he makes a lot of noise...but, he's harmless.
Of course the FACT that Luke sends kids to UM is a credible defense, don't be silly...as for your little Amari Cooper sidebar...I believe Luke was coaching at Northwestern for what...a month or two before Cooper committed to 'Bama.

I agree... But, the thing with a lot of inner city kids (not all) is that they are raised by single mothers, and are looking up to these guys as father figures. On one hand they're better off doing so, rather than looking up to the local drug dealer; because that is the alternative for most of these guys.

On the other hand, since these guys/coaches have so much influence, you gotta meet them halfway by at least playing the game of paying some of those players Luke is referencing a little attention. My reason for saying that is because of the fact that these high school coaches practically come in contact with these players way down at the pop Warner level. They aren't just going to get out of the way after being in the kids life for so long.

Gotta recognize and strategize a formula to keep these coaches happy.

Maybe Golden can have them to come in and discuss the recruits in the area and make them aware of the teams needs, and the teams checklist for what they consider a D1 recruit. I don't know.. . But gotta meet them halfway due to the circumstances.

I don't think anyone has a problem saying Al struck out when that's what actually happened. For instance, Muschump whipped him on Jay-tard. Most UM fans aren't willing to say Al struck out on the BTW kids when he's obviously fighting against a deeply poisoned well that is poisoned on a daily basis by a bunch of ********, like Beanbag and the two Lices, who have daily access the players. A) First off..."consistently rips Al"...you aren't new. Luke has praised Al...he was one of the first to come on the air and vocalize Golden's movements with rectifying relations with the inner city schools...he gave Al a blowie on air when we got Thomas Finnie.

B) If you don't see how Luke wanting UM to sign a bunch of local players and has his players participate in a ton of UM related events throws a wrench into the narrative that Luke is "anti-UM" (which has been my point in this thread), then I am not sure how we can continue this conversation. It seems obvious, to me.

C) As for the rest...Luke's been doing it for years, ever since Butch gave'em the boot...yet, no one here has yet to provide an example of Luke's ranting and raving having resulted in a net negative. Which is another point of mine...he's ******* harmless and you all get completely bent out of shape and full of rage over this dude going on the radio acting like a clown.
