Armbrister to LB

Christ. I guess that means he didn't have any long term ability at S because all we have there is RRA, VT, Highsmith, Rodgers, and Swasey.

I got to think the staff sees some of these DB newcomers at S.

That position is downright scary.

Like I been tellin'em, Joe, dis kid is another JoeJoeJoe Wylie. Gettin too bigs for the safeties positions so we gotsta moves'em to linebackers.

I guess the coaches are pretty confident in the safties we have now to move Armbrister to Lb. But I thought we were going away from the undersized lbs, guess they see him adding 25-30 more lbs before his senior year. Nothing wrong with having a lb with the athletism of a safety

and the wheel goes round. what did anyone realistically think this kid was gonna do?

the S spot is scary for sure. by necessity at least 2 of the incoming DBs will end up at safety at some point

no I think this means that Armbrister cant cut it at S. he woulda been a poor mans Ray Ray at best anyway IMO. kid will prob be a career special teamer at best.

We need them too... As long as they know their role and give us our all... We'll be alright this year with Ray and VT... Next year we'll need someone to step up for sure...

I don't think Armbrister to LB means anything in regard to the current safety group.

Ol boy is getting big. He's 6'3" 210lbs as a RSFreshmans.

The safety group sucks, I would like to think the staff is aware of this, but moving Armbrister doesn't mean anything to whoever was in front of him...they still suck.

It does mean Armbrister wasn't good enough, at safety at least, to help out a pretty **** poor unit. ****.

Yeah he is getting big, but it's not surprising really considering he was pushing 200 when he first showed up. What is surprising IMHO is that he couldn't make the 2-Deep on at underachieving position, and unless Johnson, Paul, Cain, turn into J.Futch he will never see a meaningful down especially with the potential newbie studs(R. Kirby, G.Terry, J. Blue, Witt)

+1. Its going to be a nightmare back there will RRA, VT, Highsmith, Rodgers, and Swasey. Unfortunately I think it means we will see a lot of the same defense we saw last year. I wouldn't trust those guys in space.

S is the one position that has me scratching my head. I mean it was pretty obvious last year that it was a major need and we really only took Jenkins (who played mostly offense in HS). I think we have to get 3 in the upcoming class or maybe one of the CBs coming in the fall (or Gunter) will prove worthy.

I think it was a necessary move, you can see he was outgrowing the position. As far on how he'll do I'm not sure, there seems to be some potential but with the linebackers on the team and the ones coming in you have to wonder how his potential compares to there so he might be there for depth and be a starter on the special teams.

Have you seen the kid play? Or see him in person? You guys just throw comparisons out like they are fact. Career special teamer? He was moved to linebacker in Saturdays scrimmage and had a sack and tackle for loss. Instead of doubting a kid you obviously know nothing about why don't you sit back and watch him perform.

75, Some Cane fans are not happy unless there bad mouthing kids. No one has seen this kid play one play of college football but they lean to the negative side. Justice would be to go watch their kids play and bash them the same way and see if they can take it. Hey, Your kid sucks, he will never amount to ****, he is garbage. I wonder if they even would talk to their kids with the same language knowing they will never be a superstar in a sport. iF YOU HAVE KIDS MAN UP AND TELL US WHERE THEY PLAY,see how it feels on the other side.
