He can certainely help in spots and play in the rotation. I don't think anyone is expecting him to play everydown as a true freshman.

I'd feel more confident if somebody already on the roster stepped up and we didn't have to rely AQM.

We all do, but Dye hurt, who knows if Perry can play, and Hoilett yet to play

I don't know how bad Dye's injury is but Golden didn't sound too optimistic when it happened. Perry has been a non-factor up to this point and I don't expect anything out of him this season, and Hoilett has potential from the few who have seen him, but he'll still only be a RSFr.

Our DE depth may be the worst on the roster.

How bout Chick stepping up and living up to the fam tradition/hype... If he did, we'd be fine.
 
Chick balled out when he was a freshman and this kid is more talented then him, and he has the size and work ethic to make an early contribution.

That doesn't even make sense.

Did you watch him against some of the best high schoolers in the country?

I mean, I get your general POV but this kid can definitely "help" this team. Come in and dominate? Most likely not, but "help" of course he can. Have you seen our other DE's? Have you seen the other teams in the ACC? Most of them don't have as much talent as the Army Game sad to say.

I mean, I get your general POV but this kid can definitely "help" this team. Come in and dominate? Most likely not, but "help" of course he can. Have you seen our other DE's? Have you seen the other teams in the ACC? Most of them don't have as much talent as the Army Game sad to say.

THIS... He'll have a better freshman year then Chick did in my opinion and I think will probably finish with 6-8 sacks

Won't see as many snaps as Chick did as a freshman, but look for him to be in the DE/LB rotation as a frosh.

Well McCord was smaller and not as talented, no way a swipe at McCord he is a very good prospect, and he did alright his freshman year. I expect more from AQM. I also feel as bad as our front four still is on paper, he is walking into a better situation than McCord walked into last year.
 
If McCord lead the team in sacks last season hows is it out of the question that Muhammad can help the team if not even be the best pass rusher we have?

McCord weighed 65 pounds last season

i hope aqm is up to 245-250 at least for the season. he will be a star. 230 is small but tyriq lead in sacks at 217 so he can play in spots. AQM is fast and actually has moves on the line.
 
Another bravo! In the Army All-American game he dominated the players in front of him. He looked like a big kid playing against little kids. Whereas I don't expect him to have that type of impact; I do expect him to have AN impact.
