AQM wants it all

Look at 5:45 of this video. The reporter asks Coach D a question about AQM, and he can't help but smile before regaining his poker face:

I think Golden and D'Onofrio knew they were going to take a beating defensively last year. That facilitated the decisions to play fast and score as much as possible, and play a ton of guys (I think 27 or 28 guys played on D).

It was good to get everyone on tape, but D'Onofrio said in the Spring that the plan was to cull the rotation a bit.

We can finish top 30 in defense without a quantum leap. Improved strength & conditioning, more experience, added depth, and an easier schedule.

We're going to be a lot better on defense.

The biggest thing is the easier schedule.

I like this m***a f***a he did a interview with itu he said he takes different moves from nfl guys and add twitch and swag to them. This is a cane this guy has to much swag to have went to notre dame or bama(espicially nd big slow b*****s.

He's not gonna get 40. And I only say that because if he becomes good enough to get 40, he'll be leaving after his junior year as a top 10 pick.

If you look at all of the elite DEs that have been top picks the last decade or so, they've all been at or around 30 career sacks.

What if he gets 40 in 3 years?
"I'm fast. I'm real fast off the edge." Quan, in today's interview.

Then he'd be the greatest defense lineman to ever play college football. Somewhat of a lofty goal I'd think.

By the way, Rusty Medearis had like 20 in his 1st 15 games as a true freshman and sophomore before wrecking is knee.
All it takes is the right player.

Man, that was one of the worst injuries ever. Not that it was super gruesome but b/c it wrecked a guy who had out of this world potential. He was one of my faves back in the day. Would've been an all-time great.
