AQM throwing up the U

ohhh ok. Well that would make sense if it wasn't quoted the way I wrote it. I mean, thats such an obivous pro ND statement. I was skimming thru the last 20 or so pages in the thread so maybe I read it wrong.

I stand by my statement anyway. ND has been the favorite for awhile. I would love for Al to get AQM down here, and I think its between us and ND. I want to believe...but don't wanna be let down.

So does anyone have access to the actual article/interview or are we going to just keep guessing?

Bakas thinks it's down to us and Rutgers because Brian Dohn (Rutgers guy) has been all over his recruitment

The Colorado guy thinks Miami

Guy said he's done taking visits once he chooses

All signs point to Coral Gables man, plus there's a quote from an article where he was talking about Golden and the staff in such glowing terms that made me take a step back. I'ma see if I can find it.

Here's that quote I was talking about from a couple weeks ago:

"The Miami trip was awesome. I loved the trip, I connected with the coaches and the players. They loved me a lot. They keep in touch with me. They showed me they were interested and they always call my mom and I call them here and there. We have good conversations, not only about football, but also academics. I feel with the recruiting process, it's all about building relationships and it's where you feel comfortable about."

I was trying to figure out why ND fans think he's a lock to them. Did some research and found this:

Did Al-Quadin Muhammad commit to Notre Dame like rumors say?
-- George from Brooklyn, N.Y.

Rumors were flying that this was official about two weeks ago, and since then everything has died down. However, that does not mean that something did not happen.

When there is that much smoke, you can generally assume that there was a fire. More than a few sources, including a very good one tied to Bosco, believe that Muhammad is a silent commitment to Notre Dame now, but that he does not want to make it official and public until he announces it at the Army All-American Bowl in early January. Rutgers will continue to do their best to change his mind in the next two months, but with Notre Dame enjoying a very successful season, it seems like a very tall task for their coaching staff, even if the Scarlet Knights make a BCS bowl of their own.

So basically its a combination of Farrell's input and a 'good source' at Boscoe giving the impression that AQM is a silent. Of course, this was all before the surprise visit to Miami.

Alabama, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, Michigan, and Tennessee seems like enough.

Also, these lists are not necessarily an accurate reflection of all offers received by these kids. I don't think the schools are allowed to confirm or deny offers, so all information about offers is gathered by recruiting services from the kid and the people around him. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the kid simply left other big-time programs like USC, Florida, LSU, Georgia, and Florida State off his list because he simply didn't think to mention them, and the recruiting services never asked.
