wow I feel like a clown. Had work related late lunches/dinners until 6:30. Was excited I would be home to watch my canes. Only to see we played at 3 smh.

Did we win and how did we look. Specifically Rosario
 
Back in 2019 we had to score 23 runs in the first two games to win the series. They are one of those teams that they say well if they can just get some pitching they can be really really good. They put up 18 on Georgia Tech the other weekend

The trauma is ongoing. Trailing 12-6 in the 8th. Rosario was scratched due to illness for Garland. Gil homered to get a 5-3 lead to Fed in the 6th before an ump assisted bullpen meltdown.
 
talk about brutal pitching from the pen...outscored 9-1 after taking a 5-3 lead into the bottom of the 6th

Just tuned in. How do we give up 12 runs to this Pitt club? I just don’t get it. When you bring up fed coming in though I do now

The 8th is finally over. That inning was the definition of pitcher having to eat it for the good of the team.

It’s just one of the days where one pitcher doesn’t have it (or in this case overreacts to a lean in HBP) and things cascade from there. Walters honestly had the only clean day relieving Garland in the 4th and 5th. Garland was not stellar either.
