Anyone looked at the Coastal Schedule?

our record can be garbage with losses to Free Seafood/Louis/Nebraska but we have no excuses/business losing to ANY coastal team at this point.

Is it really a foregone conclusion that Duke will contend for the ACC this year? Don't forget, they are losing 27 (!) total touchdowns now that Connette has transferred. Boone was a 64% passer last year and threw 13 int with 13 TDs. I don't understand why no one will mention that. Their defense is average, they lost over half of their touchdowns and we have them at home early and we should be relatively healthy. I'm much more concerned about VTech on the road on a Thursday than Duke. ****, I'm more concerned about UNC and their running game with Williams than I am about Duke. Just me though :noidea:

I'm not concerned with Duke in a head to head game. I'm concerned that they win the coastal because they only have 3 losses (to UNC, VTech, and us).

I don't think we would lose more than 1 division games to be honest. We have 2 division games (UNC, @VT) that could be losses. I don't see Duke as a team that will beat us early and on the road and we should beat UVA and Georgia Tech. Our problem is going to be our cross-divisional games. UL and FSU could beat us, giving us 2 losses in conference. I think that 6-2 wins the division this year. That means we need to 1. go undefeated in conference play (not likely this year) 2. go undefeated in divisional play if we lose to UL or 3. split the UL/FSU games. This is why the Labor Day game is so big. If we lose, we will realistically only have 1 loss left to give in conference (presumable against FSU), meaning there is zero margin for error against our division. UNC will be tough. That game at Lane will be extremely tough on a Thursday night. They find ways to win in that place. If we beat UL we have a chance to win our division even if we drop at VT. September 1 is very very important.

I dont see any coastal team can get to 9 or 10 wins except Duke or US..That Duke game early is huge..

We beat Louisville we handle Duke..we lose to UL who knows maybe 6 or 7 wins...Its a mental game for US plain and simple

OOC schedules, aside from us, are incredibly pathetic. Just guessing, but I'd assume fsu and clem are the only other good ones. Fsu's being the best by a long shot.

VT plays O$U* and UVA plays UCLA and @BYU. UNC goes @ND.

I'm not going to disrespect those games.

If we scheduled UVA 12 times, all evidence points to a 6-6 record at best.

No reason to worry about schedules until we can consistantly beat bad teams.
