Anyone know the people in this pic?

Howard is retired. Jimmy too. Erickson is coaching at Utah.

Butch is unemployed and has expressed a desire to coach here.

Why are some people so ******* stupid? Not saying that you are because that would get me in trouble.

But some people...yeah...really ******* dumb.

The best form of argument, that is favored by most intelligent people, is to call everyone dumb when you can't convince them of your point.

I went out of my way to avoid calling anyone dumb. But when someone can't grasp elementary logic they are usually referred to as "dumb".

It's interesting because you completely missed his point to begin with. Your overreacting and not comprehending his point is what led to this.

Quite the opposite broham.

Golden is fine as head coach. It's his loyalty to Dino that's causing the problem.

Davis = Golden minus the blind loyalty.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

there arent people that are actually this stupid are there?

Butch was down 31 schollys and never gave up 500 every game

Well that's not entirely true.

Butch's teams had their bad moments too. I know Golden's teams have been bad on defense for the most part, but I think we're improving.

In 1998 Butch's Canes got beat 66-13 at Syracuse where Cuse ran for over 300 yards. Now total yardage allowed wasn't bad, but Cuse hung 66 on Butch.

In 1998 Miami bounced back, and beat UCLA 49-45! They did allow 670 total yards to UCLA in that game, and 513 passing yards.

In 1999 Miami gave up near 400 total yards to VT, including around 300 on the ground, so not bad in total yards, but 43 points is they key.

In 2000 vs. FSU, Butch's Canes gave up 565 total yards in a win over FSU. That's with Lewis, Reed, and Morgan on the defense all 1st rounders. So with Butch and Schiano, and multiple 1st round picks, the defense still got shredded.

LMFAO, look at those teams you just popped off.

Now look at the teams Golden D gives up 500 yards to, almost every week.

Butch wasn't getting his **** pushed in by the bottom dweller Virginia, and Dukes of the world.

In his free time, is butch learning in game coaching?

Because I was under the impression that is one of our biggest problems and one he isn't the best at solving.

So all of a sudden jimbo can coach now? Its about recruiting n BD would not lose there.

No. Jameis Winston is his quarterback. I agree it is about recruiting, but Jimbo was getting good players and failing before Winston.

But he was winning and appearing in big time bowls with said recruits. Thats all we gotta do right now

Wasn't that UCLA team the #1 ranked team in the country?
Didn't that VT team play in the national championship?
Wasn't FSU National Champs in 2000?

CD,

Do you really think the current ADMIN is going to bring him back?

I am not asking whether he should be the next coach or if he is has improved since ______. I am just asking the question above.

Probably not. But I'm gonna keep beating this drum till it breaks or my arms fall off.

I am all in on the Butch bandwagon myself. The back and forth was just sort of funny. But regardless, I would take him back in a heartbeat. I would make Golden and Dorito drive the moving truck.

people can cry all they want AGAINST Butch Davis, but I can guarantee you this, YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A BETTER TALENT EVALUATOR in all of football.

Tell them I want Chud if they won't hire BD, thanks!

CD,

Do you really think the current ADMIN is going to bring him back?

I am not asking whether he should be the next coach or if he is has improved since ______. I am just asking the question above.

Yes and for a couple of reasons.

1. Most of the Board members that Butch ****ed over have left.

2. Donna knows that she is one more bad hire away from losing the fan base permanently.

3. He already expressed interest in January when it looked like the job was going to be available.

4. He would be unbelievably cheap and that will be his strongest selling point to the administration.

5. The call from the loyal fans to rehire him, especially after Louisville rehiring Petrino, will be deafening and the administration will finally need to bend to the fans.

6. He would reinvigorate national attention and locally he's still respected and liked by the coaching staffs. He'd be a recruiting juggernaut.

7. His teams were mostly legal issue free and still had a high graduation rate. The administration would love it.

8. The biggest thing holding him back would be the NCAA mess at UNC. His name wasn't even mentioned in the findings, but he's still pretty tainted. This where the administration would need to grow a pair and hire him anyway. A 5 game losing streak to FSU, no bowl wins since Coker, and embarrassing attendance make this hire a must. The administration will see this and have to hire him.

Personally I would think coming back to coach college football in this day in age would be difficult for Butch. Times have changed drastically in the relatively short period of time since he's been away from coaching. Plus the energy level required in recruiting would be to much for an aging Butch to expend.
Sadly I think is time is up, especially at a program like Miami. Maybe a smaller less demanding program would be a fit.

If I'm Pete Garcia I'd have Butch in my sights.

Yeah, I'm sure Butch has just been sitting around working on knitting projects and scrapbooking for the last 2.5 years...

Oh wait a quick 2 second google search reveals that Butch Davis has in fact been working in the NFL since 2012...yeah times have changed drastically in the relatively short time he was away from coaching....he was out of coaching all of 6 months......schit changed so much that the NFL gobbled him right up.

Sometimes people post really stupid schit...it's baffling.

Sometimes people post really really ******* stupid, totally ignorant, and **** near retarded stuff. It's a wonder they can even feed themselves or remember to put their underwear on before their pants. Not saying that you are one of those people but.......yeah....

“I truly would like to coach again, and these past two years working with Tampa Bay, I learned a great deal about the inner-workings of the organization and really felt like I made some good contributions, learned a lot about the offense and defense of a lot of different coaches that came from different programs,” Davis said. “Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to be a head coach again someplace and use a lot of things I’ve learned in the past couple years and put it to good use.”
Butch Davis- March/2014

Yep you are right, he wasn't doing schit at TB. Just kept his thumbs up his *** and collected a paycheck. No possible way he learned anything of value there...doddering old man that he is.

"A masterful talent evaluator, Davis helped Schiano and Bucs GM Mark Dominik write position-specific requirements for each position as part of Tampa Bay's scouting process. He evaluates the other team's quarterback and offers suggestions to the defensive staff. He also sits in on meetings, practices, OTAs and does "a little bit of everything except coach" for his old protege. On game days, he sits in the press box to ensure communication runs smoothly."

What a waste of time. It says right there he didn't actually coach. Yep he didn't do schit there. Nothing beneficial or worthwhile at all involving football. I'm' sure his coaching acumen has decayed to the point of senility.

LOL Poor Butch sounds desperate in that interview.*I'm sure he learned a great deal from Schiano who previously learned a great deal from Butch. Wait wut? To bad his great contributions didn't help Schiano keep his job.

But **** if you don't sound like one.

The problem with your argument is that he said 500 yards every game. You just name 4 games over a 3 year period. I can find 4 games in a 6 game period with Golden.
