Wouldn't be the first one they passed on. They told Reggie Grimes, "Nah, we good" too. Also, he aint a 5* but Knighton aint a slouch either and they supposedly didn't take him either. They are simply on a different level right now.

They might not be lazy recruiting like how Coker did going solely off rankings...

They might legitimately have other kids ahead of him on their board.. Their board is very talented with quite a few options.. Not to mention he might not have liked that Clemson might have pressured for a commit and shut down all of his recruitment approach that might have been presented to him

I think misread, I did not read that they withdrew and are not recruiting him, the way I read it was they are just not the leader anymore...
