A maryland insider said from everything he has heard miami is the likely destination for mcfarland.

Like to think this kid is locked up but this will be a battle until signing day. Bama will not just let this guy go.

Bama


Miami: "My mom loved it (there). My mom is a Miami person. She just loves the atmosphere. We had a good relationship with (Hurricanes running backs coach) Thomas Brown and Mark Richt when they were at Georgia. When they went to Miami she just fell in love with it even more. She saw the campus. It's a quiet atmosphere. It will allow you to focus. Our relationship with Thomas Brown and Mark Richt and my family doesn't change. She loved it there. She loved the academic curriculum. What they have to offer me. Things like that. They put me in a position (to do well). She just loves it."

Alabama: "It's definitely more persuasion with (Mike Locksley) being there. We were real close at Maryland. He hits me up almost every day. Now that he's at Alabama it's even better. He's from my hometown so that makes things better."

Maryland: "The new staff is great. It's a family atmosphere. It's not the same (as the old staff). The whole staff there is great."

Doesn't make sense to me that he'll end up at Bama. They have 2 RB's committed now, one is the best player in the country. He has a great relationship with Richt and Brown and he'll be here next weekend. I think he ends up a Cane. Mama always wins
