One thing that stands out to me and I thought would be too early to say:

Do you slowly take Duke off of kickoff return? Seriously. Hear me out. We lose today's game without Duke. James will contribute, but our offense will be stuck in the mud without a guy like Duke. He's that valuable...already. The last thing I want to see is unnecessary risk to a true Frosh 190 pound RB that may already be our second most valuable player on offense.

The more touches the better. He's not an every down back... don't be afraid to use him on STs

With how kickoffs are setup now, I would absolutely take him off. Sure we may lose a td or big break somewhere, but to me the risk is much higher for injury. As today proved it didn't need to be on special teams, he could make game changing plays without any help from that. Why risk it?

It depends on his increasing workload. They did use Dorsett in the return game as well. Thing is we might need every point we can get so taking him off the return team could hurt us. A lot of teams use stars in the return game and it works fine for them

I understand your point but I still want Duke back there for a few returns a game

Slowly? No. How about like yesterday. I dont understand why he is in KR anyway. That kid is our future superstar at RB. We have enough speedy DBs and WRs that can do KR. We dont have another game changer at RB like Duke. He needs to be getting more reps on offense, and be off of Special Teams all together.

I rather use him on PR. I think we're better off as a team with Phillip Dorsett handling PR and KR duties.

I beg to differ that Duke's not an every down back. I think he's exactly that. And, when they go I-Form or single back, he looks fantastic. I surmise Fisch will use him as a decoy quite a bit. Play action, fake pitches, etc. ****, he already did by slipping Mike James in at FB. I bet we see a pass out of that formation soon (if not next week).

He's a touches guy...just get him the ball in space and don't kill'em with overuse...he is a 180lb freshmens...give him some carries, some catches, some special teams touches, let him work his magic.

Remember how many people complained about how we didn't use Hester enough?

Leave him in. He'll be alright, he's a big boy now.

I like him more on PR than KOR too. Dorsett's faster and better for KOR (durability aside). I do think if duke gets enough return touches, he'll break a few, so i dont mind him back there, but logic dictates that as his touches go up on regular downs his ST touches will go down. And SMH at whoever says he's not an every down back. He's all that and more.

You would be coaching scared. Reggie Bush returned punts and kick offs. Barry Sanders did also.

Antonio Crawford and Malcolm Lewis can return kicks as well. Crawford played a lot at RB in high school.

Do you know who else was on the roster when both were used on STs? Start there. I'm not saying take him completely out of the equation, but Bush and Sanders were on Special Teams as nothing more than sprinkles by the time they were as valuable to their teams as Duke is to us right now.
